Goal is to find some (preferably two-piece) steelies (ie, Forgeline OE2 below) and run full chrome wheel cover 80% of the time and exposed for trails and/or change of looks.

If anyone if familiar with a OE2- esque wheel out there let me know. Forgeline is a bit out of budget. The fifteen 52 are close, but are one piece :(

I keep looking at the options at uswheel.com and wheelvintiques.com

Would have to ask about custom offset though to get close to stock.

Closest I’ve seen on those websites is 19mm offset.
I had US wheels send me out a custom 30mm offset 16x7” smoothie to test fit to see if it will clear the calipers. I will let you know what I find out. Going to test fit it today.

That’d be fantastic! I look forward to seeing what you find out.

Ok so here is what I found. The 16” wheel with a 30mm offset will not clear the calipers. The way the rim steps down it is to narrow. If the wheel was set at a 0 offset it would clear the caliper. Because the wheel flares out and gets larger at about 0 offset.

and yes I was thinking baby moon caps or these Ford caps.

I have tried to get a hold of wheels vintiques a few times but just get put on hold forever. US wheels does not do a smoothie in a 17” with 6 lug that can be set at 30mm offset. So I guess it is back to trying to get a hold of wheels vintiques.

How about a 17"? (Oops, posted this while you were posting your response.)

Also, any concerns with brakes overheating with no slots in the wheel for airflow?

Are these Mickey Thompson wheels available for our Broncos? These are my favorite wheel design, and they're so against the current blacked out/matte black wheels, so I love them even more, lol. I can't locate a size though like a 17x8.5, 17x9, or 17x10 with our bolt pattern.
I’m thinking that if they make us resubmit orders for 22s I’m gonna get that new green color and wheels like that. It will old school but tasteful, and not tacky.
I’m with you I’m so sick of seeing black rims everywhere!
People spend three or four grand on these wheels and you can’t even see the pattern if you’re more than 10 feet away because it’s just black!!

I'm going with gloss black 17" steelies with hole spokes...

My whole desire for the Bronco is driven by the retro-ness of it. A couple of wheel options seem likely. Someone will jump on the coolness... Quadratec did these for the Jeep and I know they are going to be supporting the Bronco, so I've planted the seed for them to look into something like this for our fitment. The best part, it looks like a steel wheel, but it's actually an alloy wheel. Follows the theme of retro look and modern design.

Some great ideas in this thread. As to the Quadratec wheel you referenced, I saw these live on a JL and they looked awesome. Really "back dated" the Jeep in a great way. I am holding out hope that someone does a kidney bean/slot wheel in polished aluminum. Light and retro.
