Heading out there Thursday morning, it's only a nine hour drive from where we are at in southern Utah. Anyone else from Utah going? From what I read they are going to have a 2 door and a sport there. Hoping the 2 door is a Badlands, that's what I am ordering.
They also have the 2 that were at the NY Stock Exchange a couple weeks ago.

We rented it for $86 a night. Plus insurance. rvshare.com
That's cheap! Much better than buying one if you only use it a few times a year.
I gotta say that I have a hard time believing a four door Bronco can only pull 3500 lbs. I have the worst possible setup for a four door Jeep when it comes to towing and it has no problems with this trailer. 3500 gvwr. Gotta be close to that as it sits.
I'm sure it will pull 2-3x that no problem, Ford is just playing it safe. (and no, I'm not encouraging anyone to do that)

I was going to have to fly up there to have surgery but I was able to move it to a local doctor. Three days later the bronco event was announced. You could say I'm jealous! Make sure to get a ton of pictures!

Gorgeous! Some of the first places we want to explore after we get the bronco is the sonoran. Looking at Organ pipe cactus national monument for our first road trip. Have you been there?

That would be great if the OB 4 door is there so we can check out that color and the 4 doors. I hope they are all there.

Despite what we were originally told, you won't be able to change dealership after October for pre-orders, even though you won't likely have a chance to see one or complete the order for several months.
But what does changing dealership have to do with deciding to place an order for a 2 or 4 door?

Not trying to be snarky here, just making sure I haven't missed something and that I actually understand the process correctly.

Defender, if you have not already done so reserve it for the refundable $100. As for the October deadline I believe it is a logistics issue for Ford dealerships as many are privately owned; therefore, Ford wants to lock in dealer builds.

Roger that, I have reserved mine a while

My confusion stems from @beachman101 stating that he only has a couple more weeks before he has to choose between a 2 door and 4 door model. The "only have a few more weeks" comment led me to think he WAS talking about the Dealership swap deadline, which to my knowledge is completely independent of placing the actual order (2 or 4 door decision) which will occur in December.

My understanding is that my reservation ($100 thing) only grants me the chance to order in December and that I am NOT locked into the model I made the reservation for. Am I wrong?

Also, I apologize for having an unrelated conversation in a thread about the upcoming event.😳

Diablo, that’s my understanding as well. You may change virtually anything at time of order. Picking out the model is a logistics/ supply chain function at time of reservation.

Nice! Did you win the in person lottery or apply for permit online?

I have been trying for the permit without much luck...

I was one of the lucky, in-person lottery winners. My number was one of the five picked out of over 40 numbers.

Keep trying! It’s a fantastic hike.

I struck-out multiple time on the Half Dome lottery. Should have climbed it when I was younger, before there was a lottery

I haven’t made it there yet. I just managed to make Death Valley, Joshua Tree and Saguaro last year.

Lotusland, in Santa Barbara, is a fantastic botanical garden with an incredible cactus section. That’s the closest I’ve made it to the Organ Pipe Cactus.

We rented it so only a day in it so far. It pulls so easy! I have 35s and 3:21 gears. Pulls like it's not back there. That might change in the mountains!

Overall I would say it is a great design but they seem to have cut corners in quality. I would consider buying one but would end up upgrading a lot of things. Shouldn't have to at the price point.
Not to be “that guy” but unless you upgraded the hitch, the Airstream Basecamp exceeds your JK’s tongue capacity. Was disappointing for me as It was top of my shopping list until I found out... cool little trailer though.
