I think I'm going to add Squatch. My OBX is ordered with the rear locker and I actually like the wheels. The plan was to get tires almost immediately

Given what you get (and the warranty), I think Squatch is the way to go for me.
I pushed mine to ‘22 and will also be adding squatch for this reason.

Joining the OBX crew from BB. Technically I still need to change my order, but I'll be MY22 anyway and will switch it up when the order banks open for it. I'm tempted to order the MIC color fenders to change it up sometimes, I kind of like that look better.

Build will be:
Carbonized Gray (maybe green if it's nice)
Roast cloth
MIC
2.3
High Package

While the topic of tires is somewhat fresh, I am sure many of you fellow OBX byers have way more off road experience than me.

I know alot of a vehicles capability comes from how good of tires it has. So are the tires that come on the OBX pretty much just good for street use. Or will they be somewhat capable once it leaves the pavement? Not planning on doing any rock crawling or mudding just want to get off of the pavement every once in a while.

Thanks in advance!
Check out 4WD action 247 Australia. Dmax on 31 INCH BF that are very similar tires. Those guys go EVERYWHERE!.

You will enjoy the rare sighting of the roast cloth in the race red OBX that was posted 2 months ago.

@618TRVLWILD Miss Ashley you'll enjoy the Race Red OBX especially when it is on the move at the end.

So I got a VIN - July 19 build week. I am getting the 4Dr OBX with the 2.7 and soft top. AMB with the roast cloth seats. Hoping I have it in time for our fall vacation in the OBX. Very excited to take a trip with the Bronco and how the weather is still warm enough to put the top down.

I order the Outer Banks, Area 51, lux. MIC. I'm from N.C. seemed only fitting. I had a 1976 bronco when I was younger and used it to surf fish on Ocracoke Island. It wasn't as loaded with the extras.
It had a AM,FM and that's about it but it had that 302 engine.

I’m a little bummed..I didn’t realize the OBX doesn’t come with the aux switches by default. I already have a build date and can’t modify.
With that said, I specifically got the OBX because I don’t plan to off-road much, so ultimately I likely wouldn’t utilize the aux switches..I still like knowing they are there.

Did anyone powder coat their wheels? Curious how they look black with the stock tires

I plan to paint the outer edge of the wheel black so it looks like the B&P render. I like this look better than the actual production wheel, that little edge being blacked out makes a big difference imo.
