Yeah, I have the same plastic issues. Bothered me when I first saw them putting in my grab handles, now not so much. I don’t know if Ford can do anything, but I’ll be following what happens to you.

I also noticed these imperfections too in my bronco. as you said, I know it's meant to be an off-road vehicle, but I would atleast expect the plastic moldings to be flushed. It was weird to see these things, coming from a toyota.

I actually showed this to the people at the dealership during a check up, they said it's supposed to be like that 🙃

When I had my Bronco PPF put on the shop pointed out dozens of paint imperfections.
The dealership said they wouldn't warranty it "because it doesn't affect the function" of the vehicle.
I managed to have the dealer pay to get most of them reduced by their detailer's "paint correction" but you can still see them if you look closely.

Had a few panels not fully locked into their clips. Was able to just push them into place and they look perfect now.

Hot Pepper Red? Tri-coats are always a bit more tricky to spray but the factory should be able to do that without dried nozzles flecking goop into the wet paint.

If it's HPR, color matching that will be an epic PITA, you really have to weigh if you like the color match more than you like the minor imperfections as you won't be getting both on that panel anymore, unfortunately.

These are the joys and heartbreaks of tri-coats.

Thats confusing. If they just knock down the surface with wet sanding you shouldn't have to spray anything (ie: color match).

Knocking down the imperfections flat absolutely won't prevent there from being issues in the tinted clear that remains, it will be visible.

Or they take the area down to metal and properly spray and blend in the panels. But there's a 0% chance that comes out perfectly matched.

However, it will never be easier to color match than when it's new! Diminishing returns from this point forward and that's just the name of the game with tri-coats.

Personally I went with Soul Red Crystal tri-coat on the Mazda6 I ordered new because it's such an incredible color and seriously one of the most amazing tinted clears you can get from an OEM. What Ford offers is just future headaches for a mediocre quality product, unfortunately. They look nice, but not great and less dynamic than a tri-coat should be considering the headaches they cause down the line.

I have a few very small dust particles or paint imperfections in my HPR Badlands 4 door. For as minor as it is I would never want to have it fixed. Better to leave it alone.

That appears to me like it’s been repainted and poorly finished.

I also had some things like this, no holes per se but like little bumps. Bugged me the first couple weeks, not sure (five months later) I could tell you where they are. Sorry it showed up that way.
