The OP has front and rear lockers, so there's that. The worst damage I've ever seen to a Jeep's steering components on the trail (like a bent tie rod -- not just the ends, but the entire bar) or possibly the drag link can be straightened out. Even the old hi-lift jack handle trick works. I've personally driven off a trail with a TRE bent to almost a 90 degree angle, resulting in massive toe in. I can't image what one would do with a rack failure. Far fewer overall components due to simplicity.
Yea I have beat some drag links back into shape... At one time I even made a custom bar bender to carry with me....

And you are right... The ONE weak link is the rack... It is also (as part of the IFS) the one thing that makes it ride and steer so much better. It is a pretty significant difference.

You can always upgrade the rack....

I've seen plenty of MORR, which makes me an expert, and so far see quite a few more Jeeps than Broncos with frontend damage requiring tow outs... Wrenching on a trail with a Jeep is perhaps simpler, though, due to the IFS being a complicated apparatus.

It must just be me that doesn’t find the bronco all that difficult to work on. I feel like the bronco is easier than the jeep 🤷🏼‍♂️

Well, y'know, Jeep owners collect rubber ducks, gotta keep it as simple as possible... I kid!

if I could ask What's involved with running 35s on a non Sasquatched badlands? Would an eibach coilovers set add enough lift. On a Jeep, you may need to recalibrate the tire size (33 to 35 maybe, 33 to 37 definitely) would for scan do this?

Thank you
You can run "35"s on the stock Badlands suspension. You have to pull the front crash bars and use a rim with the correct offset (I was running 17x9 with a +30 offset). Although not true 35s, I was running what everyone is calling 35s, BFG KO2 315/70R17's.

You can recalibrate the tire size with FORSCAN or the Pro-Cal.

They are mostly equal, some jobs were easier in the Jeep, some in the Bronco. Neither is particularly difficult.

That's what I have on the Jeep 315/70R17 KO2's. Could I use the existing badlands wheels? or Sasquatch take offs? For some "bizarre" reason I've always preferred OEM/Manufacturer wheels to aftermarket. The aftermarket has WAY more choices but for some reason I usually stick with an OEM wheel.

thanks

No. The 315 width is too wide for the +55 offset wheel and will have rubbing on the UCA. You can always go with Sasquatch takeoffs including whatever style wheel they come on. If you are set on using the +55 offset wheels, you'll want to look at a "skinny" tire such as Baja Boss 255/85R17.

Thank you - GREAT INFORMATION. Given that, I 'd probably lean towards SAS takeoffs or aftermarket.

The OEM bash plates were optional on 23-24 WT. I added the OEM disco to my late 23 WT, wired to aux switches and works well. Then added a StinkyFab trans skid plate to protect the disco, which bolted up to my optional factory plates. Previously had a 22 WT and IMO the Hoss 3.0 and HD rack on the 23 Is much better. The 23/24, WT was standard with 2.7, auto, Sasquatch, leather, added insulation and carpeting vs. all being optional on BL--so if looking at holdovers or used, check the optional equipment.
The 25 BL can be optioned out to WT specs.

I started out wanting a raptor, but after investigation I decided it was too wide. A raptor is a full foot wider than my Rubicon X. That would be great in the open desert, but not on the local trails. It's a bummer because the raptor is a BEAST! It seems that a WT or badlands seems to be the best solution so far.
If you are measuring with the mirrors out in normal operating position, the Raptor is barely a 1/2" wider than a SAS Bronco or any Bronco for that matter-at least according to Fords website. There are KILLER deals on Raptors right now. Autotrader has dozens of them for $15k+ off of sticker price.

according to the internet

The width of the Bronco Raptor is 85.7 inches, while the standard Bronco is 75.9 inches wide. The Raptor is as wide as its F-150 Raptor cousins, measuring 87.1 inches. The track width of the Bronco Raptor is about the same as the full-size F-150 Raptor.

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon has a wheelbase of 118.4 inches and an overall length of 188.4 inches, ensuring a stable ride across various terrains. Its width comes in at
73.9 inches

Gosh I hope that is NOT the case. I can handle 2 inches of additional width, 12 inches (11.8) of additional width would render it unusable on a lot of the trails around the valley (Phoenix). I will need to measure this on a dealer's lot because if the Raptor is only 1/2" wider than that would open up a Raptor, If a regular Bronco is almost a foot wider that the Jeep, I may need to rethink this.

The WT seems to be my 1st choice, but a BL w/ SAS would work also. The BL is good, I can live with the Bilstein's, I'm just not sure I want to replace the wheels and add a lift to run 35's.

The track width of the Braptor is wider than the Humvee or H2.

Obviously the track width is much wider on the Braptor. But I’ve looked at several different places that say mirror to mirror the Braptor is 86.9 and the rest are 86.2 mirror to mirror. That is also what Fords website says. I’m not saying I’m correct, just what Ford and other sources say.
