I’m hoping the hard top allows you to keep the hard top over the driver and passenger seats like these pics. Kinda like a hard safari top.
I can’t really tell how the soft top attaches from this pic either. You can see the door cover though. ?

Notice the inter roll cage on the Hot Tub Photo - this was one of those camos with huge boxey camo top - it did a strip tease as it got hot in Moab if you follow the pictures - probably an early might-roll-over tester, they didn't want fiberglass explosion.

For me, the soft top becomes an option if the wiring and electronics for the rear defroster are already run for a future hard top install.

We cant even get basic info from Ford, so getting this detail is a pipe dream.
Aftermarket will make some cool tops.

I'm just worried that when/if I want a hardtop I will also have to pay to have wiring run for the rear defroster like a Jeep.

II am counting on it, I am sure it is going to be similar to the Jeep JL tops
Nice video!

I am glad fords roll out/communication plan is so good that we have to watch a Jeep video to see how the Bronco’s top will work. Thanks Jeep.

if they have improved on this, I will be happy, but if that’s the case, why have we seen/heard nothing?

to be honest, the only thing holding me on now is if I can get the soft top (with wiring for hard top) right away, and then order shadow black by end of year. That or keep my reservation place, but move to the front of MY22.

If not I am out. Too many disappointments back to back from Ford....sadly, my $$$ will go somewhere else

I wish I could say that Jeep had the same trouble with the JL rollout.....but I can't they had plenty of information about the new top design for the JL prior to launch, not too mention they also released a power soft top around the same time. This highlights the benefit of all the hard work of those contributing to this forum...Go B6G!

Why is there not any information on the Soft Top option, and it's features, from Ford?

At least, I have not seen anything yet.

^because the execs at Ford forgot how to make Successful new launch.

I love Fords, but the new reveals are just eh. With random dripping of info and photo leaks.

Bestop Customer Service [https://www.bestop.com/] told me this week that they were making Ford factory soft top options for the Bronco (including the Sunrider top in the photo below: https://www.bestop.com/sunrider-for-hard-top-jljt/) .

The Supertop Ultra looks a lot like the hardware in the Rubicon Trail photos: https://www.bestop.com/supertop-ultra-jkjl/

He said they will only be sold thru Ford for the time being.

May be a while before we see a direct purchase from Bestop. My guess is that they have a contract to build and distribute through Ford for X amount of years. Our only hope is they also develop an alternative design that Ford does not have the rights to. Kinda stinks not having options.

Unfortunately no, if the Ford follows suit with Jeep the tint would only be available with the trims that include tinted windows. In this case the tint (privacy glass) is listed in Big Bend and up.

I agree, one of least favorite things on my JKU was the rear window access.
Still no demonstration on soft top opening, removing, features, etc.. Ford about to go live with ordering and every day I see eye candy posts about wildtracks, and badlands
