I want to color match my D ring shackles to Area 51. I have seen a few posts about paint match but powder coat is different (don’t use the same color codes). Has anyone had success with Area 51 on either color match or a color that’s close enough?

Try Prismatic Powder Coating. They will send you free color swatches all you have to do is pay shipping.

No offense but I remember when shackles were something you kept in your recovery bag, but they have turned into mall crawler bling. As an FYI, the offroad community has been using soft shackles for years, they are just as reliable but are waaaay safer.

thanks for your comment. In general when people start a comment with “no offense” they say something construed as offensive. Happy to reply if the bump gets me someone who has an answer to the question though. I’m new to off road but young enough to want to look good while I do it. Have a great day!

did you end up doing this? I would like to know the color code or name used.
