Sasquatch beauty ring -- paint vs powder coat?

I paid $100 for all 5 in gloss black. When I googled powder coating in my area, there was only one shop that came up and mostly body shops that quoted anywhere from $400 - $500. I was pointed in the right direction from one that didn't do powder coating. The place I went with was an industrial coating shop. They just put your rings in with a run of gloss black coating.
