Can someone explain what the Premium Connectivity provides & what stops working without it?

I have a '24 Badlands & recently got an email stating Your Premium Connectivity service is coming to an end for Bronco and will expire on 6/16/2025 if you choose not to renew.

I use Apple CarPlay and have Sirius radio. I do not use the Ford Navigation.

I did RTFM but no real detail there.

For 2021-2024 Bronco you lose the Alexa audio streaming service with Amazon Music. For 2025 you'll also lose the ability to stream YouTube.

CarPlay will still behave normally. SiriusXM is bundled under a separate SiriusXM subscription. And I know you don't use it, but the built-in navigation system is part of another service called Connected Navigation.

When I bought my Bronco I was told Connected Navigation required a monthly contract with AT&T.

I didn't know about the Alexa audio streaming service. I'm curious about streaming YouTube on a Bronco. How would that work? Would it be a hot spot so I could watch the videos on my phone?

Thanks for the replies...

I use apps available via CarPlay for navigation (Maps, Google Maps, OnX OffRoad, Trails Offroad). Use Apple Music or SiriusXM for music. Don't use Alexa or the hot-spot functionality.

Wondering if Premium Connectivity is required for using the Ford Pass app. My app never shows the trailer light functionality. Dealership tells me that feature was removed.

Do software updates for the Bronco require Premium Connectivity? It seems that it shouldn't, but...

I think I'll let both the Connected Navigation & Premium Connectivity expire and see what gets affected.

Nope and Nope. Every Bronco supports Ford Pass (to some extent) and OTA Updates.

Trailer lights on Ford pass has been a weird thing - Mine has the light check from Sync, but has never shown up in Ford Pass before. Other people have seen the exact opposite.

I let everything expire and I'm still getting software updates. The Ford Pass app works for me, but I haven't tried trailer light functionality. I have used it to lock/unlock my Bronco as a test.

I have used the trailer light app on my WildTrak and it works well.
