I have been having trouble finding any info on the prerunner kits from Baja or RPG. They both state about the new LCA and other parts and it will widen 6 inches over all 3 on each side. But how in the heck do they extend the rear to match, I saw someone had mentioned spacer. But with the amount of money you’re paying that sounds like a cheap fix….especially how they mentioned using CAD work to design 😬 . Anybody one here using that kit..do you like it how’s parking now with the new width. Any ideas if there’s any other solutions

So this method is considered a solid solution for a prerunner build? Meaning safe for rocking climbing and fun in the dunes and other terrains

It's a pretty common method, and fairly cheap compared to the alternatives. Spacers don't add nearly as much stress when they are installed on a straight axle. Getting spacers that are both hub centric and wheel centric will help as well.

Other alternatives include a custom housing (also needs axles, 3rd member, brakes, all suspension pivot brackets and drive line modification) or swapping an axle from another vehicle. I've seen tundra axles on Tacoma's, titan axles on frontiers, full size bronco on a ranger. Unfortunately the f150 and bronco raptor are a different lug pattern. But the new ranger raptor axle may be a possibility.

Both of the other options will get pretty pricey fairly quick. Thus most people are going the spacer route.

Seems like it would make sense for the Baja kits people to swap the front end to 6 on 135 to allow use of a standard F-150 or Raptor rear axle. Grabbing an F-150 rear would likely already have a locker and sensors, so just a gear change would be necessary to match up to the Bronco.

We used to use the wider van housings on the F-150 and Bronco stuff ~20 years ago.
