What kind of mods do you have and what do you do as far as wheeling?

I’d only recommend it if you’re running 37’s and do heavy rock crawling. Otherwise it’s overkill.

So with a lift and 37’s you definitely need to brace the steering rack. 74weld and Broncbuster both have kits. I run full BB setup on my 2.0 steering with 37’s and lift. It works fine for daily driving and moderate wheeling.

If you’re heavy in the rocks though and notice your steering rack loosing power or overheating then you need to upgrade to the 3.0. Main benefit of the 3.0 is the extra torque from the motor.

I’m about to put a 2.5” RC lift on my SAS OBX. More then likely will put 37’s on it. This has been on my mind as well. Thanks for the suggestions.

What is 1.0 vs 2.0 steering rack? I get the 3.0, but don’t understand the difference between 1&2

The 2.0 is the standard rack found in most Broncos. I havnt heard of a 1.0 rack though. 3.0 is gonna have a little better of a housing and stronger motor over the 2.0 (think of hydro assist for hydraulic steering as a rough example).

So my early 2021 Badlands and First Edition have 2.0 racks?
