I am really ignorant on the programming thing. Quick question. What changes now that some of the other models also get hoss 3.0 steering rack? Is it not just tied to wildtrack anymore? Is it more universal now? Seems like it should be much easier for Ford to get this done.

It should be easier, in theory, more models have the Hoss 3.0. But one would still need to "trick" the truck into thinking it was one of those models so it thinks it had a 3.0 rack to begin with. IMO Ford should be able to do this with a ProCal I think they are just dragging their feet, you know, kind of like building Broncos in reservation order. They struggle with the simplest things.

Dang, $3K US sounds like a good price for a new rack with warranty.

Got my eyes on the 74Weld, but nothing wrong with the HOSS 3.0 at all. Still a couple of years before I can swing that, but once I do, I’m moving on up to the French fry station and that’s when the big wheeling starts! I can see Sand Hollow, the Rubicon, and Windrock‘s worst trails in my sights already!

I want to have the HOSS3.0 installed IN JUNE 2024. I am planning my trip to Colorado in August to go trail running for 4 weeks. I have been to MOAB 3 TIMES in the past.

ProCal will also recalibrate if you take out an M190(no locker) front diff and install an M220(with locker). It is NOT just a performance tune. It will also recal for tire size. Check it out.....

the procal does NOT have that (steering upgrade)capability at this time.

You must have missed the part where I said Ford SHOULD be able to do it but are dragging their feet.
