If you don’t have the minimally acceptable water pressure or if you are restricting the pressure through valves or hoses, it will not work. Street pressure should be minimum 55psi and max 80psi. Run the hose out without kinks and fully open the hosebibb.

With my electric PW, when everything is on (water and switch), and I’ve already bled all the air before cutting it on, mine will cycle on and off when not pulling the trigger, it’s a bad valve, it normally cuts off when it reaches pressure, but the valve is leaking pressure back into your hose, causing it to cycle on and off.

Are you using an extension cord or is it plugged directly to an outlet?
The sound is similar to when my pancake compressor for trim carpentry is not getting enough amperage.

Does it run when you pull the trigger? I mean it sounds like it kept trying to build up the pressure in the system as the waters that are leaking out of the connector.

I have some generic electric pressure washer that I bought 4-5 years ago for ~$120 .
I use hot water (better cleaning) and RV water filter (reduce water spots) on it.
Both the washer and the filter say hot water not recommended, but I have zero issue with it.

bought this pressure wash to keep me Bronco clean from Costco. but this feels like having a stroke. is this normal? which pressure wash do you use it on your car?

appreciate your feedback.
Sounds like a topic for pressurewasher2g.com?

Your pressure side hose fittings are leaking. The unit is losing pressure so it is short cycling to keep the pressure in the hose constant. Stop the leaks and the unit will stop short cycling.

I have some electric home/lawn care tools that work very well. An electric pressure washer isn't one of them.
That's just one of the things that I have found, a gas engine one does better.

I have that same one and that is definetly seized up, return it. Mine has been great for 2 years now. remembr to turn on water let it push out all the air then turn on the switch.
