I have the toplift pro. Works well. No way I would pay $900 for it though, and I’m by no means a cheapskate. I got one on marketplace for $350. It’s not necessary at all for me, in fact if the wife is around I still have her help me yank the top off. Faster than dragging this thing out. Can be completely topless in 3 minutes. For the seldom times wife isn’t around I’ve used it and works fine. Can lift it up high and park under the top, for those worried about space. But ya its bulky. No way I’m ever gonna mess with straps and a hoist.

Toplift says they will have a 2 door version by the end of the year. I just reached out again last week. I’m buying it even though it’s $$$ because it’s the best solution in my situation.

I have a 2 car garage but it’s cellar level and ceilings are low and my Sasquatch height Bronco doesn’t clear the garage opener So it doesn’t sleep in the garage. Even if it did, it wouldn’t be enough clearance to do a hoist.

I built a hoist out of 4x4s, cable and pulleys on the side of my garage but the ground isnt quite level so the top comes off at an angle and bangs against the roll bars and a pain to put back on. The straps are a pain in the A too and not looking to level out the ground under the hoist. Also, since the hoist is outside, the top is outside and I have to cover it so crap doesn’t get on the inside. It’s just a process.

For now, my wife helps me quickly remove the top but the Toplift will be great for doing it solo and just wheeling the lift and top into the garage Like a hand truck. Gotta be much simpler than a hoist.

I totally get the aversion to the cost here, but this solved a problem for me so it was the right choice.
Sadly I think this is the path I'm on. I'm gonna have to swallow the grand now and just do it. I see way too many good things about this hoist.

Same here $750 + shipping I thought was worth it. It will be many months before I need it anyway!

Way overpriced.
The $1000 retail price definitely is. The $750 sale price probably is.

If I didn’t have a cellar level, low ceiling garage and could do a ceiling lift, I would probably do that, but that’s still an expense and definitely nowhere near as simple to use as the Toplift appears to be.

Toplift is like a big hand truck, will likely last forever, lifts and stores top and I don’t have to find my wife to help me with the top.

@NurseA.J You should check on your pre-order and see if they will apply the additional $50 discount being that the item won't ship till January anyway.

If they don't, then ask if you can cancel the original pre-order so that you can order again with the new discount. I presume they will realize that it is easier to apply the discount then go through refunding the original.
