Question for those familiar with Woodward Dream Cruise/ Detroit area

I'm planning on going to Woodward dream cruise this year but am not familiar with the area or what places are good around there.

Question: does anyone have a place they would recommend to stay at that is close to Woodward dream cruise and also not too far from Holly Oaks off road course?

Bonus question: any locals have places they recommend that is good to see or eat at around that area?

It may be a good idea to reach out to the folks at Bronco Nation. They have fairly large presence at Woodward Dream Cruise and if you hook up with them they (or someone else attending the event) will no doubt be able to point you in the right direction.

You may want to book a hotel ASAP as last year there were over 1 million attendee's.
We stay at the Holiday Inn Troy. Close to pretty much everything.

Bronco Nation runs a 3 day program.
Thursday they attend Holly Oaks ORV Park.
Friday is more of a visit Ford location day including the World HQ.
Saturday they set up a Corral right off Woodward (24099 Woodward Ave PR)
The Big Ford display is down at 9 mile also known as Mustang Alley.
There's also another one up around 11 mile and Woodward.
Any other questions feel free to reach out.

Thank you for the information! Since I'm planning on also going to see Ford HQ I was debating on staying in Dearborn at holiday inn right next to Ford HQ. Would that be a horrible drive to Woodward from Dearborn or not too bad?

From Dearborn (Ford HQ) to Where Bronco Nation is set up is about 20 minutes.


You can navigate down Woodward fairly easily except for Friday night and after 11 AM on the Saturday.
Last year on the Friday night, it took us four hours to move 5 miles.

Last year on the Friday night, it took us four hours to move 5 miles.

I looked up that Holiday inn Troy and it looks like it's only half hour to Dearborn so not bad at all. Is that hotel easy drive to bronco corral on Saturday?

Last question for you, If I'm in the bronco corral and decide to only stay a few hours is it something you can leave whatever time you want or is it blocked off where you can only get out at the end of the event Saturday?

only stay a couple hours then head up to find a place to park along Woodward to watch the show.
The main intersection is around 12-13 mile and woodward.
The corral is quite a bit more west towards 9 mile.
If you stay at the corral for the day you will miss a lot of the show.
