Radio Swap idea

For now this is purely hypothetical, but I’m trying to gauge whether or not swapping the 8 for the 12” screen is possible. The screen itself is available (may take up to 15 days to fulfill) for $913 and the dash trim for the 12” screen out of the OBX is $623 (available next day). Wondering if anyone knows for a fact whether it won’t work. Not looking for peoples opinions, looking for someone who has either taking the dash apart and compared the two screens, wiring, mounting, etc. and can truly weigh in on this. If it could work, which hypothetically why not, probably going to go for it and will keep you updated as I talk through it with my local dealership where I go daily (FedEx Driver). Build: BaseSquatch.
FYI: In order for me to have gotten the 12” screen with Squatch it would have been another $10-12k. That wasn’t in the budget.
