Random Thought - Wish there was FORD lettering across the grille instead of BRONCO?

I don't mind having Bronco on the grill. I do wish they would have put some thought into the 2 door vs 4 door name. Something like Bronco and Bronco Short Bus, or Bronco Princess.

Yeah I agree. They should have named them: The Real Edition (2 door) and The Soccer Mom Edition (4 door). Haha but in all seriousness whichever one anyone gets we are lucky!

I don’t know why you want to keep Ford out of it. That would be the equivalent of Jeep Wrangler removing anything that says Jeep off of it. Then just calling it a WRANGLER. I for one am proud to call it a Ford Bronco. It’s what it’s name has always been and always will be. It’s the heritage of the Bronco. Plus keeping it traditional to the original Bronco which is what the new one is trying to do, I think should say F O R D across the grille. Either way we are lucky Ford designed such an awesome looking Bronco!

Ford is treating Bronco as a brand, not just a subset of models... The same way Lincoln is a brand within Ford.

The Bronco brand implies that all the models have 4x4 and off road capabilities, etc etc etc...

I’m aware of that but again you don’t see a Ford oval on the back of a Lincoln but you do on the Bronco. Like I said Jeep fans would not be good with the removal of the word Jeep from Wrangler, I feel the same about Ford with Bronco.

I mean, other than the fact that Jeep literally removed the word Jeep from the JL wrangler grill.

Same thing can be said about the Mustang. Its not so much Ford Mustang anymore and I am ok with that too.
I like the idea of Bronco being its own "brand". Its still going to be a Ford, just like the Mustang is, I just don't need it slapped all over the vehicle, IMO.

FYI, I wouldn't care if they took Jeep branding off their vehicles either, but most people just say they have/drive a Jeep and don't usually specify which. Like someone saying they drive a Bronco, but its really a Bronco Sport.
I don't hear people say they drive a Ford, they say F-150, Explorer, Super Duty, Mustang...

HIstorically speaking, I enjoy the few iconic Ford vehicles that are so undeniably "FORD" that they don't have any Ford branding on them yet you know instantly that they are Ford products. Some of which even had their own iconic branding which was undeniable on it's own and built them as a franchise around a single product.

In fact, one of my first modifications is to 3d print a blank to replace the Ford oval on the tailgate of Bronco (the only "ford" branding on the exterior) and incorporate the classic "Bronco" script over it.

Some vehicle franchises that immediately come to mind that are clearly Ford, yet don't say Ford on them....
