That is for the side/quarter windows. Not the rear window.

It's been happening in the current and previous two generations of the F-Series trucks. I wouldn't expect a recall anytime soon. Far more F-Series out there than Broncos. No recalls for the F-Series.

This wasnt covered under warranty? I'd open a case with Ford.
Oh, I have a case number. Also got calls from Ford explaining why it wasn’t covered. Totally understood their reasoning, I just know that’s not what happened. Either way, glad it’s finally fixed.

This recall was for a select few built late 2023. Plus it’s for the rear quarter windows, not the window on the very back that swings up.

This just happened to my brand new 2024 Bronco Wildtrax 4D (1,600 miles). In Oregon, it was not super hot (82F), and the window exploded out towards me when I was closing it. Cut my hands a bit (nothing serious, but very annoying). I wasn't operating it any differently than I usually do. One strange finding: the right strut is now bent. The dealer it taking it next Tuesday to figure out what happened and fix it.

Seems to me that the strut somehow failed to collapse, stayed stiff when closing and caused the glass to shatter from the pressure, which also bent the strut. I will from now on close my rear glass slooowly

I have no way to prove this, but I thought I would add we are on our 2nd rear window replacement due to rear-defrost burning up the sides where the wires connect. My service department originally said they had already done a few this year when I called about our first.
This second time my wife said she hadn't even used it, so I guess it doesn't need to be activated for this to happen.

I have to assume this heats up the glass like crazy and can contribute to this "exploding rear glass" issue as well...
