Anybody have problems registering Bronco from Granger in Colorado?

Did you have any issues with the In-Transit Title from Iowa? El Paso county claims they have never heard of such a thing.

Did DMV require a VIN verification?

I bought a temp tag from the dmv before transit expired. No issues there cost was like $7 haven’t been able to register yet, still waiting on GOBI to get the Bronco back to me.

No problems for me in Arapahoe County - the transit title was not an issue. Yes you do need a VIN verification in advance. Go to an emissions check station (AirCare Colorado - $20) or if there is a CarMax locally - I understand they do it for free.

Several police departments will do a VIN verify for free as well. I usually get mine done by Parker PD.

Thanks for the advice. Not looking forward to the lines at DMV!

I was told a Vin verification isn't required if it's a new vehicle and you're the first owner??? (By the DMV)

I got one from the Phil Long Ford service department just in case and the DMV did ask for it.

The last car that I bought from out of state: just required me to fill out the paperwork at the Larimer County DMV (and pay the taxes of course) and they issued a temp tag. They corresponded with the out-of-state dealer to gain title/MSO and notified me when it arrived. I then went back in to get the new plates. They take reservations so there was no waiting in line. I would suggest as others say that you get VIN verification ahead of time just in case. Also, if the police or Sherrif do it for free, consider donating $ to them for good Karma!

Registered it in CO (Adams County) 2 weeks after driving it home from Granger. Did the VIN verification down at an AirCare smog center. No issues at the DMV though getting registered with the Granger paperwork.
