That $500 million investment that Ford made back in April 2019 is looking pretty good right now.

I had a reservation in on an R1T at Rivian, but passed on the purchase in favor of a Bronco. I'm an EV owner (Tesla Model 3) and love what Rivian is doing, but the 400 mile range is slated for their year 2; they're doing 300 mile packages only at launch. Plus, the price is up around $80K with options.

The Bronco has the benefits of top- and doors-off driving, less of an alpha-buyer premium, and (IMO) significantly better looks.

Ford has a substantial investment in Rivian, so some of their success will be mutual.

While the first Rivian-based Lincoln EV was canceled, Rivian tech will most likely power Ford's full-EV vehicles, including an eventual EV-Bronco.

If your going to post and say it's on the way. At least post some updated news, photos or videos. I wouldn't say 2022 is "soon". It will be over a year before we seen them on the road. I hate when manufactures make a claim of early next year. But realisticly they mean April as in "early"

It's the only other vehicle besides Bronco that has caught my eye

I think it's wonderful. Will be available in September for those who reserved.

I don't have a family. But if I did have little ones, the R1S is exactly what I'd be going for over the Bronco.

But since it's just me and my partner and soon a dog, the Bronco it is

The Rivian on line build and price suite says delivery in January 2022. Unless they do what Ford has done with the Bronco, delay, delay. Looks better than that Cyberthing and will probably be on the road sooner. If you get in line to order a Bronco today any idea when you will get it?

If I had to guess... September 2022, but too many variables right now. I love everything about the Rivian except the front and rear lights. Just not a fan.
