Was doing my tire rotation today an as usual I cam across rust on the rub...I hit it with the wire brush and always blow brake dust out of the calipers...just wondering it there is anything I can do to mitigate the surface rust.

Bonus tip: If you remove your spare tire cover in the cold, throw it in the clothes dryer for 10min before you put is back on the heat makes way more pliable when you're putting it on!!!

Wire brush it, spray with rust converter, paint with rustolium.

Your better option is to ignore it and let it do its thing. Drive yourself nuts keeping hubs from rusting.

I've owned vehicles for nearly 50 years now, and I have never seen a hub that wasn't rusty. And I live in a mild semi arid climate.
