Trying to decide if I rustproof my Bronco with spray or the new rust module being pushed with mixed reviews? Also, do they cover bash plates and under bash plates?

If you live in a rust belt, get it sprayed. Those rust modules do not offer the same, if any protection at all.

Get it oiled. If you keep it 10 years you'll be thanking yourself. Get it oiled before the first winter, and then before every winter after that. I've had best results with cars oiled before the first winter.

A good tech will remove them and spray the bottom of the Bronco then reinstall.

Sadly, I don't think anyone applies Fluid Film anywhere in my state (Indiana), so I guess I'll have to do mine myself. 😞

problem with getting oiled is every rain or snow storm for a good long while it will be on your garage floor. Pick your poison. I do a quick under carriage spray after each snow/ice event in winter. Also makes it a pia to do any kind of work under your vehicle cuz everything you touch is gobbly goo.lol
My f350 at 11 yrs old in snow belt has no rust under it. But I always spray the undercarriage with water at work in a heated bay.

Not everyone has that luxury so a spray of some kind is a good defense.

but spraying bash plates and under carriage?
Anything metal, yes. On another brand vehicle I own, I had an aluminum shield rot off due to the crap brine they use around here. And did go to the carwash as often as possible in the winter.

I just bought a case of Blaster surface shield and sprayed 3 cans under the entire undercarriage on anything unpainted metal that isn’t exhaust related. I’m probably going to go back and remove skid plate and apply some more. My Subaru STi was very rusted after 10 years of NY winters and driving to the beach and I will be taking the Bronco actually ON the beach so want to try and minimize the rust.

For me... I spray bed liner pretty much on everything underneath, couplings I take N5000 and coat the whole thing. Inside doors get fogged and when I wash the motor I spray WD40 on everything....

Corrosion is not my friend!!!😎

I had mine done with wax undercoating, it's semi-hard, not sticky, matte black and somewhat self healing. It looks great! They used regular oil undercoating inside the frame rails and all crevices. It was expensive but upkeep is cheap and less frequent than regular oil (900 up front, 99 every 2 years for touch ups) I've had cars done with oil before and I'm a believer, I splurged on the Bronco since I didnt want the semi-mess that can come with oil. It's my first new car and as a kid I watched my parents beloved 1985 Bronco completely rust out twice (they had it restored once, life in New England plus saltwater boat ramps) I intend to have mine a very, very long time
