I was putting together my Baja Design lights earlier today. They look awesome and seem well-built. Highly recommend!

Quick and dirty version. I didn't have the 8x XL Linkable in stock just a 7x Linkable. But you get the idea with the round bezels...

I have zero interest in these new light bars. I and my buddies who own Broncos all want the old school round KC light look.

Boy am I disappointed. 6 pre-wired aux switches and none go to the roof??

one goes to the roof and ends up under one of those caps for roof rack. From what I understand you have to drill a hole and fish it out, but seemed pretty easy, there's an install video floating around somewhere.
I won't ever add a light bar up there, so didn't pay all that much attention. Don't want the extra wind noise.

This setup from RTR will be the route I go. They have a very svelt mounting bracket, and I prefer the traditional look of actual round lamps instead of the ultra-techno style modern lamps that have a huge housing and multiple bugeyes all over them.

I freely admit that i'll be pushing the looks of my customizations towards a soft 80's theme of throwback rather than classic 60's or ultra-modern.

Oh, and you have to do all 5 lamps!

Rigid sells a mount for their bars, BUT i have a feeling they didn't design something right. The instructions don't match up to the product and I can't see how a large bar would fit.

I measured it today. A 50" / 52" bar will fit but the brackets need to jet outwards more, like what Baja Designs does. The Rigid brackets don't do that, they kind of sit straight. Sooo something didn't seem right with their data on their site.

We'll be developing some universal brackets for a 50" bar. As far as an entire roll-bar type setup... that's kind of outside our wheelhouse really. It would be an expensive item for us to sell since on our manufacturing side, we only make things here in America and a bar that size would cost about $300 or so I'd reckon. Much cheaper to make some mounts for a light bar.

However companies like Baja and KC (coming soon I'd suspect) have that "old school" type look with multiple light pods that sit in a proprietary mounting system.

It seems exceedingly unlikely they went through the manufacturing of it simply for a 1-off charity donation vehicle.

You could reach out to them and ask when it might be available, they are in the business of selling things for money.

Hey Sam,

We carry this setup from Baja Designs, do you think it would work for you?

If you wanted it to look a little more rounded, we could get you the XL-R bezels to give the lights more of that old school round look.

I like the look of the lightbar mounted on the bumper and am currently thinking of going this route but I keep changing my mind every 15 mins and I don't even have a build date for my Bronco so I am hopeless.

I love the roof light bar look but last time I had roll bar mounted lights I suffered from horrible light noise. Full disclosure, the last time I set up a new Bronco was so long ago the "new" Bronco was in reality the "old" Bronco so hopefully things have improved tech wise...
