Sanity Check - Can You Hear This Weird Fluttering?

Engine makes a super weird metal fluttering sound upon acceleration. It’s always hard to capture on video. Dealers tell me there is no such sound.

There's definitely a flutter sound going on, super apparent towards the end. Seems like it happens on heavier engine load. I wonder if it's something with your turbo unit. Especially right around 24 seconds, where the sound kind of lags behind engine RPM a bit. What kind of PSI are you able to pull on WOT? Might be a boost leak.

Thank you! You have no idea how nice it is to hear this.
Every time I have described the issue (its hard to catch on video) people tell me its the turbo. Luckily I have owned many cars with turbos, thus I was 99% sure it was NOT a normal turbo sound.

I hear it too. My 2.3 doesn't make that sound! Sorta sounds like an exhaust leak.

do you have factory air box or aftermarket? Hard to hear but once you open up an air intake you hear lots of noises from turbo. At least thats been my experience

Out of curiosity, are you in 4A? Mine makes a very similar sound in 4A. Can switch to 4 hi or 2 hi and it goes away

Nope. 2hi.
Sound seems to happen in all modes

Mine is drivetrain related. On video, it sounds like yours but I get vibration on acceleration in 4A. Feels like it's coming from under the center console. Pretty sure something is about to let go

For what it’s worth I get steering wheel and floorboard vibration on the Highway. Goes away in 4hi
