I was looking for a used set of Sasquatch shocks to put on my 2 door outer banks. While checking part numbers it looks like ford has 2 different ones for the front.

Most of what I find for sale is for the 4 door models. I would think maybe the valving is slightly different. Would the 4-door shocks be much stiffer on a 2 door?

Also looks like different numbers for rear shocks between 2 and 4 doors. My thoughts were to swap my springs to the Sasquatch shocks. Just by trying to measure them on the vehicle. It looks like the lower spring mount is higher up the tube.

I feel like I'm on borrowed time with my Sasquatch shocks, with others sharing that their reservoirs are falling off. If I were you I'd buy some 5100's over black Friday.

Will this ride stiffer than stock? Drove a wildtrak 2 door early fall. The ride was a little harder but wonder how much was the bigger tires. I’ve bought a set of badlands wheels and wanting to go with the 285 tire. Just thinking the extra inch in the shock would be nice.

With what we now know about how cheaply made the Sasquatch shocks are, no way would I buy a used set.

Before aftermarket shock upgrades were available, upgrading the Hitachi with the Yellow Bilstein Sasquatch shocks was a common upgrade. Yes, 2 and 4dr models are different. Search this forum for how much it matters. Yes, some of the yellow Bilsteins have failed prematurely. But take-offs are available for 2 and 4dr. I think it's the springs that are different, but you can dig up that info.

If you plan on adding a winch and/or aftermarket bumper I wouldn't worry about the 4 door struts being too stiff. I replaced my hitachis with Badland's Non-sas struts. Both mine and the donor vehicle are 2 door. I wouldn't mind a little more stiffness in the front end.

For a soft street ride, go with the Eibach's ... according to general consensus.

Otherwise, No way would I put all that effort and cost into the Yellow crap Ford put out. Especially if your in the "winter salt" belt.
