I finally got my bronco last night. I live on a 2000 ft gravel driveway so mudflaps are a must. I got these at advance auto parts for 12.99. I shot 2 screws thru the raised part of the fender well to attach them. I wedged the bottom onto a contour of the wheel well to hold it in place. I plan on upgrading once a reasonably priced (not $439) is available. I also plan on swapping out the silver screws for black. For $12.99 they work well.

Gatorbacks aren't $439 if you properly shop around and especially if you are okay with blank flaps(no bronco or ford badging). Under $300.

Plus they have features no other set of flaps has, including structure and mounting brackets. Small investment to protect a $50k to $60k vehicle.

maybe a stupid question- Is anyone just installing front flaps?

I truly do not like the look of any of them but the cheaper ford ones are the least obvious in my opinion. Gatorbacks are way too long. I am going to be putting running boards on in hopes that it mitigates the damage.

Thanks for the link!

But still at $300 per set the margins on those flaps must be 80% to 90% unless they’re paying their press brake and laser operators $500 an hour to form and cut the sheet metal. Maybe the powder coat guy is getting $1,000 per hour…. Ah, capitalism. We all need some good competition for these overpriced flaps….

Weather Tech and Husky will be along soon enough for us cheap bastards…..

They are mudflaps people.... i think the$50 pair price is pushing it....

I'm not cheap, just realistic and don't like being gouged(aside from the other ones lookin bad).

If you think the $300 ones are nice , i would hesitate to see your taste in other things

From a design standpoint they were designed with all function, form wasn't considered. Tacky... i don't know how else to describe them

But hey, tacky can be good too, i love kitch. But im not feeling the big rig pants. Ymmv

I only put on fronts. After 3 weeks they are holding up and keeping the rock collectors from chipping the paint.

I did something similar with these Plasticolor mud flaps. https://www.amazon.com/Plasticolor-000543R01-Black-Scene-Guard/dp/B0002NIJS0/

They are actually pretty pliable and they did fine in 1 degree weather on the highway, no fear of them turning rock solid in the cold and snapping. They came with 8 self tapping screws which were sort of on the small side so I have some larger screws with washers coming to help secure them more confidently. Using that round spot on the flare was perfect.

I'll snap some pics today after I get off work. The little mountain logo lines up nicely with the rock rail.

I’ll probably change them when another alternative is available. $300 + is too much for a set of fronts.
