I gotta say I have no need for a sasquatch package capabilities. Like many of you I'm only looking for that agressive stance.

I started window shopping for wheels/tires for a base trim. I have no experience on aftermarket whatsoever.

A set of five wheels and K02 tires at Canadian tire will set you back 3k - 3.6k for decent looking wheels. To complete the sasquatch look I would still need a lift. That puts me at around 4.5k for "looks" only.

Am I missing something? Is the sasquatch that good of a deal? (Im estimating between 5000 and 7000 CAD)

Squatch is a great deal for the capability on every model but Badlands. On Badlands the equation versus eventual build intent has a more complex calculus.

If you go by the survey numbers Sasquatch on Outer Banks and Base was $5000usd. $6500cdn. So you may be looking at the higher end of your estimate.

That's just speculation however.

You are also getting the upgraded axle in the front and front and rear lockers.

If it comes out to be 5k for the 5 wheels and 35" tires + high lift suspension + 4.7 gearing + Bilstein shocks + wider fender flares + heavy duty bash plates + Front and rear lockers on Dana 210 and 220 axles......

YES , it's a great deal .

While pricing 5 tires and forged bead lock wheels, donā€™t forget to add a pair of selectable lockers, 4 upgraded shocks and lift. I think you will see the value of Sasquatch. Even if you donā€™t use the capability, it would help resale down the road.

The sasquatch package is covered under the factory warranty. Whatever parts and work you do (or hire someone else to do), is not covered and may likely void many warranties on the vehicle. Year 1 of any new car is not a good idea to go start voiding the warranties. Have as much factory installed as you can afford up front, and let the bugs work themselves out over the years. I bet we get 2-3 recalls a year for these M21 broncos. Doesnt scare me away from getting one. These days, buying a new car is almost like a guarantee that it has problems nobody knows about yet.

Is the front axel upgrade part of the package? I think it's just front locker, with option to upgrade

If you throw 35 inch tires on a Base trim without the final 4.7 gearing, you may find yourself disappointed, especially if you get automatic transmission and no Advanced 4x4. You won't crawl as slow and you'll have very sluggish acceleration on the road.

Yrs on everything that's not a WT or 2-door Badlands. 2-Door badlands is arguably better w/o 35s.

I was chatting with my son the other day and he made a good point. With the Sasquatch having a wider track, when out in the rocks that width could help prevent some body damage. Of course youā€™d probably want to remove the fender flares as well. For me that is a tally for the pros column of the squatch package.
