When you calculate the 315/70/17
It is actually a:
34.36 x 12.40 - 17

I know manufacturers round up but, that’s a big round up from .36 to the whole number lol!

getting 325’s will make it 35 inch tires, approx 34.9

All tire manufacturers have there own size for each advertised size. Hardly any actually reach the full advertised size posted on the tire. Some manufacturers run pretty true to actual size and some don’t. You just have to go to the manufacturers website to see exactly what size the tire is.

Do a little google search. You’ll see plenty of articles on this.

this is super common, BFG ko2's advertise 35's but they're barely over 34 inches. No one's gunna notice a half inch one way or another

hahah you have a point. the half inch less in tires size should help me fit my big bronco in my garage tho. Im used to fitting big things in tight places.
