Hi, All! So, silently freaking out a bit because I found a scratch on my hardtop today and I only got it almost two weeks ago😱… I’m also seeing a funky pattern coming through on the sides of the hardtop. Is it possible for me to fix the scuffs myself? They are not very deep; it’s more like a scuff on the surface of the plastic. Any ideas and/or advice? Thanks so much in advance - you guys have been an amazing help during my journey to getting my Bronco, and now, maintaining it!

Replace it with my soft top 🤪
Ha! Wish I could, but until our new garage is done being built, and I want to wait, although now that the plastic is getting weird, so I may have to!

Easy stuff.... Use a heat gun, go slow - meaning let it (MIC) warm up slowly until you get the look you are looking for. You can do the same with fender flares and other plastics. Good luck...

It’s a truck with a plastic top I wouldn’t sweat it. It adds to the charm. Not to mention just wait for a few car washes and frozen winters.

Well, it’s also a 2 door, 2021, so I’m wondering if there’s even more issues going on as there’s an odd pattern coming through the plastic. Is there a way I can tell if this is one of those defective MIC tops?😩

If it has the snake skin pattern showing up it might be. I would at least bring it to your dealers attention and get it documented.

Oh no… Yeah, it’s starting to show through! What happens if it is defective? Thanks so much.😌

Hi Grrekker – What do you do after the heat? Are you saying the heat "heals" the scratch? Thanks!

Hey, plastic like the flares, etc... You can put heat to them with a heat gun. Hair dryer wont work....

By heating it you can remove lite scratches, blemishes. The plastic will want to go back to its original state. Heat up slowly... the amount of heat depends on what you want to do. Just try to blend it in.

The MIC top - not 100% but, pretty sure it's not painted. Go slow for effect.
