Although I mentioned the "scheduling" above, I seem to have an issue setting up a schedule on mine for some reason.

I tried to set one up for 7 pm until 6 am, everyday, but when I click "save" it pops up at the top an alert saying it couldn't connect to FordPass. I've tired today, last week, etc. still nothing. I'm not losing sleep over it... but would be nice to know what I might be doing wrong. I'm pretty tech savvy!

Anyone else run into this?
I have the same issue. We’re you able to figure it out?

As others have stated, I found it pretty unintelligent and over-aggressive with the notifications any time a door was opened. I ended up disabling it.

Along those lines, I just had the Perimeter Plus alarm system installed today. Seems to work well in my limited testing. I just kind of banged on the corner of the mic top and the horn alarm went off.

No, mine still has the issue. I haven’t had time/care enough to try to solve it. I tried reinstalling it, but no luck. I was going to see if the next Sync update fixed it. Sorry.

No worries, I’ll play more with it and see if I can figure it out.

Mine seems to work pretty good. Only thing so far that drives me nuts is I get a notification of the driver door open after I turn the ignition off. A cool feature would be if they only sent alerts when the key fob isn't in the vicinity of the vehicle. Or an option to disable notifications when the key fob is used to unlock the doors

interesting feature, but if it can't detect that I'm there with my actual key I won't use it. I set my phone to silent at night, so would not even hear it.

If they can add a checkbox to send no alerts ever if one of the two real keys is used, I'll activate it. Maybe they can't since a cloned key is 'the same' as the real key? Setting a schedule is fine, but a bit clunky and I don't adhere to schedules all that much. Maybe I'll turn it on when parked in some public place for longer, not that it would do me much good then either. Seems like it needs a bit more tweaking before it's really useful.

Unfortunately, there’s been a few break-in posts on this forum lately. And I learned something new today (thanks @amccue90!) about Ford Pass Securialert.

For those who don’t know, like me:

After a recent Ford Pass update, now when you go into it under Vehicle>Safety & Security>Securialert there are now options to be notified via the app that the hood, doors, or tailgate was opened.

Anyone have any experience with this? Find it helpful? I just activated it myself so I’m curious any feedback - also wanted to ensure others were aware of this feature too.

Doesn't seem to send notifications to the phone just the app so a little less effective for me until I figure it out as I don't regularly open the ford app.. Last time I did it had over 100 securilert notifications.. so maybe I don't want it to push to phone ;)

Whenever I get an alert, I sprint to the garage with gun drawn screaming "ON THE GROUND NOW!", but it's always just my wife.

Did they solve your problem? I have never been able to create a schedule so turned it off too. Always get the ford pass not responding message. Uninstalled and reinstalled app did nothing. I figured it was just broken even though Ford announced it as a new feature last sync update.

Nope. Haven’t tried again recently though. I’ve had enough trying on this “should be” simple app.

Ford told me they couldn’t help when I DM’d them - Canadians need to fish elsewhere for support :cautious:

May I ask how much to have it installed? My dealer quoted me over $600 to install.

I get the notifications whenever a door is opened. I have the perimeter system because it will honk once if gets subject to vibration (including large trash trucks slamming cans nearby). It will honk once when you return and unlock it if it had a minor vibration to let you know what happened in your absence. And it is supposed to go into a constant alarm if there is breakage. I don’t understand why it sends a notification if the key was involved in opening the door or is in proximity when one is opened.

Hmm, that notification each time seems annoying, no?

I’d rather have my dash camera notify me. I hate random honks though, lol.
