Short(er) grab handles?

I bought grab handles off Amazon and they hang pretty low. All the ones I've found on Amazon and other sites are about 16.75" long.

Any suggestions for Paracord ones that are a couple inches shorter?

I have the bar tact version. When you mount them you can hold them in a position to make them sit higher. As they make them to order I would think if you emailed Bartact they would could hook you up!

What a difference a couple of inches make, huh?

I bump my head on my Bartact handles every time I get in and out. A minor inconvenience. Like he said before, hold it at a different angle when tightening the screw and it will not hang as low.

I came up with a $10 fix. I bought a grommet kit and added a grommet about 2" in from the end.

Kind of a dumb question, but does anyone think these popular grab handles / paracords will conflict with the side curtain airbags if they were ever to deploy? It seems like they wouldn't, but I don't want to install something that could ultimately cause a bigger (safety) problem. Thank you.

No because the airbags deploy straight down.
