"Short" Roof Rack for 2 Door

Hi, I'm new to roof racks and wanted to know the forums thoughts on if something like this will be available for a 2 door. I'd like have rails/rack that fits solely on the back portion of the MIC top. This way I don't have to remove the rails to get the back portion off, they would come off when I removed the top?

I guess I'm asking if these are common and can be expected for a 2 Door at some point.

I've seen a picture of a 2 door with a rack just on the topper part of the top. Will update if I see it again.

Not for 2 door.... The 4 door has 2 "grip mounts" on the clam shell.... The 2 door doesn't. But with the factory rails, you have the option of mounting the forward crossbar at the front or the middle of the rails.
OR.... mount a small platform to the rails directly without crossbars.

Once Ford emails you a ViN they include a tracking URL from the tracking site there is a link to accessories. From the description I see the yakima platform fits both Bronco and Bronco Sport but no mention of a 2 or 4 door. I’m sure you can look around and find a 2 door VIN, try this site or dealer sites should have VIN listed.

SOOOO... for the YAKIMA SMALL ROOF MOUNTED CARGO PLATFORM, Ford Accessory Part No: VM2DZ7855100C... is this just for the platform, or does this come with the crossbars for the back section of the hardtop?

BadAssTents sells a shorty rack for the two door.

Their 4 door rack is modular, so you can just remove the long rails of the full rack and be left with the shorty. Unfortunately, that’s not the case for the 2 door. That would be my ultimate setup, using mostly a short rack, but with an option to add on longer rails to the front when needed. Nothing yet in the market, so I’ll keep waiting.

Your rack will be the same for both the 2 and 4 dr? The 2-dr has a larger rear clamshell than the 4-dr. But of course, there is only one mounting point on the 2-dr.

What are the dimensions and load capacity?

Those are n the works and the side MOLLE panels will also be in carbon composite. It's going to be an awesome setup!
