Not that I should be the unicorn, but I have had no issues with it except (and it would be expected) in some of the mountains in CO where the roads are like "canyons".

Thanks. Really just thinking out loud, I knew there was a purpose but my other serius equipped don't have a visible whip.

The reason you don’t see AM/FM antennas on other vehicles is that most of those are mounted in the glass…..either the windshield or the rear cargo side glass. Jeep just moved their antenna to the windshield for 2024.
