Skid plates issues are mostly resolved at this point. Absolutely sold on flat plate style skids and factory fuel tank skid. Pretty sure Im going to get multiple seasons out of this setup, once I fix my differential skid plate setup.

Small dent in the front of fuel tank skid plate.

Transmission skid slowly bending to match the frame.

Differential skid is deforming from me laying the smack down on an obstacle. Going to have to add some more steel or replace it.

Similar setup to mine with the same idea. I need to swap out my transfer case skid still however. For the front differential May I recommend the Icon skid. Very beefy design and mounts up to OEM plates. Really happy with how it’s holding up

I will take a look at your Icon Skid plate next time. It's an issue of how I am going to cut it up to fit with my differential drop. I think the wings under the CV axles will be to much in the way.

Going to take a couple of days of window shopping on the internet to figure out what will be the easiest to modify.

I’ll take some measurements. It gives over an inch of clearance I believe. You could always add some spacers on the rear bolts too maybe?

@popo_patty trying to stay as simple as possible. I might lift the front a little higher as everytime I hit was when coming off a rock. I softened up the front too much for hardcore crawling but rode so much nicer on the straight aways.

@BAUS67 Has inspired me to be cheap and french in my own winch mount. So I ordered a mall crawling special off amazon. Going to be using a DV8 bumper I got for $650, my old harbor freight winch and Harbor freight winch mount.

This is what it should look like. Well this probably looks better than it actually will.

I should have my mounts done in this week and get them installed by next week. The local codes officer threw me a curve ball when he made me replace some of my sidewalk so needed to do that before I touched the Bronc.

I am thinking it will take me a few weeks to get it all done. Its sad how no one makes a more flush mount winch bumper. At least I can weld on another 100lbs of steel before I get to the weight of an ARB bumper.

I plan to and how I beef up the mount/bumper tie in. Your video was a determining factor in the purchase of your product. I appreciate showing what happened and especially the deformed mounts so I have an idea of how to brace them.



Looks like I can modify the bumper and not have to do a bunch of structural changes to the frame mounts.

And what I need to plate on the inner frame section frame.

I too need a trailer as my iceco takes up more then 1/2 the area. I’m getting ready to do a dry run on multiple new camping goodies. Outta all the new gadgets I’m giddy about the gazelle t4 tent. What are you using? I’ve already returned a few tents

Power tools tote was mostly hot dog buns and Kool aid lol. I use a camping cube by ezee-up, love it. I can set it up almost by myself. My wife usually helps hold the pop up then I do everything else. Mine is going on 4 years with 30+ days of use, no broken zippers or holes.

@Felix808 That is 4 tents, 4 days of food for 12 people and anything else that got Amazoned to my house. Literally they show up, camp and go home. Was supposed to have another family of 4 but they got scared of the drive.
