Sneak Peak: KR Off-Road 30" Slim Light Bar & 40" Baja Designs OnX6+ Light Bar Mount

So you guys have been asking me for months now to just make a simple light bar mount for a 30" Baja Designs S8 Bar. FINE. We did it.

Utilizing our new 3D scanner we scanned in the bumper on Saturday afternoon. Saturday night I sat down to design it. 3D printed some brackets overnight, and presto! You have yourselves a 30" Baja Designs S8 mount.

Fits like a glove. I do have a few modifications to it (I want to make it a bit wider and add some curves so it follows the contours better and just raise it up a smidge).

Not sure when these will be available yet. I'm also going to work on a 20" S8 Mount. I don't think a 40" Will work due to the curvature of the bumper, it'll stick out and look odd.

As for the OnX6+ Bars... well those are a BIT too deep. They would definitely stick out and the bracket would have to stick out past the bumper, which we think looks ugly.

Expect these to be around $99 or so. Made of course from 10 gauge stainless steel and powder coated right here in America.

We'll post up more info when the time comes but for now, enjoy these sneak peaks of the bar installed and part of the design phase (we really need to get our hands on some 3D models from Baja Designs)

You can't use light bars for fog purposes... they are for off-road only. The light output is too much/too high.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean here... dual bars on the bumper??? We're trying to keep it slim lined. Larger bars will stick out past the bumper, which we don't like/want. Thus the slimline S8 bar.

We don't sell those style bars, which are traditionally the cheap chinese bars.

We sell Baja Designs, which are assembled in the USA and the best of the best. Their OnX6+ bar is too deep and would stick out (so would any "traditional" style led bar). Thus the S8, which isn't as deep and doesn't stick out.

No there is already a bracket out there that does that someone else makes. It's nothing more then a little L bracket though to hold the S8 between your factory brush guard/hoop. I'm not a huge fan of that because it makes it difficult to tighten the bolt on the S8 down. BUT it fills a need and works well from what I've seen. I took my bar off my own truck (sitting in the garage).

Our bracket is designed to work with pretty much any 30" slim line bar on the market (Baja Design S8, Diode Dynamics Stage Series 30", Rigid Industries SR Series).

I also just finished developing a mount for the Baja Designs 40" OnX6+ Arc bar. This follows the arc of the bumper. It's a monster of a bar and it's available in a single color (white or amber) OR you can get the dual control version (the outer 2 lenses are controlled from 1 switch and the inner 2 from another). This is great if you want white on the outside and amber on the inside (or vice versa). Best of both worlds (I ran one of these on my old F150, pictured below for reference).

Will you propose a light bar for the new capable bumper? There is a 2-in gap at that location on the capable bumper.

honestly most manfufacturers are not interested in the capable or standard bumper. They don't offer any "bolt on" locations for products. The modular bumper is where it's at due to all the factory mounting points Ford has left us. Sorry. Might not be the answer you want to hear but being honest with you.

The Diode Dynamics 30" Stage Series bar fits perfect on here. Some good adjustability up/down/forward/back on this setup.

I like the ARC setup also. But you can't argue with a 30" light bar kit w/brackets + harness for under $500.

Yes, we've got one coming for the Safari bar as well. And of course, we do it right. The light bar mount is bolted on using TWO factory bolts (for added durability and to stop the bar from wobbling around). We also give you access to the side bolt on the S8 so you can adjust/aim your bar. And you can access all of the mounting bolts with the light bar installed. So we REALLY tried to make it easy for installation. I spent HOURS and HOURS trying to get the mounting system right so we had access to all of the bolts.
