Oh, and by the way, I'm already working on the cross-town rivalry to get the price down.
I currently have mine there as well, due to El Cajon Ford not having any reservations available at the time o reserved!

BTW, he's on here. Which I find cool because that is what an internet manager should be doing.
I decided to create an account so that I can post as well! No more lurking in the shadows for me haha Thanks again for sharing my email. I've had several people reach out to me directly because of the posts on this forum!

So I am going to try this again...

I am also from San Diego. Have my reservation for a 2D BL-SQ at Kearny Mesa. I want to get it in Cactus Gray and will pay for the white top and grill. Classic.

Looks like this color combination is a fav here.
Sounds like a great color combo! Thanks for working with my dealership. Feel free to reach out to me anytime!

I selected Perry Ford National City as it was the closest that I could get to work during the reservation fiasco and later contacted them about no ADM and X-plan. They originally said they would mark it up, but after telling them I was going to switch my dealer to Kearney Mesa they came back and said they would match. I even had them send it in writing so there's no confusion on order day. I suggest trying the same if your dealer is trying to mark up your reservation.

Hey Ryan,

I have great news! I just discussed with my General Sales Manager, Kamran Syed that we would be happy to support you and our troops by honoring the X Plan pricing with no additional dealer markup!

Best regards,

RYAN! I'm glad to hear you got them to drop their markup and honor your plan pricing. I feel like I helped make that happen in a round-about kind of way by putting our pricing policy in writing. I'm stoked that it helped you and hopefully some others too! #dontmarkupmybroncobro

Thanks for the info. I reserved my 4 door badlands through Perry Ford in Poway. Not 100% sure on the pricing but I hope they offer the same pricing as Kearny Mesa Ford.
I read that someone else got their markup dropped by referencing my dealership's pricing model. You may want to try the same and get it in writing! If they don't, feel free to contact me directly.

You absolutely helped! I was 100% going to switch to your dealership and if they pull anything I still will. Thanks!

For any of you So Cal buyers. I just received this message from Kearny Mesa Ford in San Diego. I've dealt with them before and they have been an honorable dealership/

Good afternoon!

Thank you all again for selecting Kearny Mesa Ford as your Bronco dealership of choice! My name is Eric Bunch and I am the Internet Director at Kearny Mesa Ford.

If you are receiving this email it is because your Bronco reservation has been received by our dealership. Congratulations! We initially expected to receive a few dozen orders, but since Monday our dealership has received over 200 reservations! Thank you all, it is very exciting!

Some of you may have received some automated emails from our dealership after you submitted your order. I believe some of you also responded to those automated emails. If you did, I apologize. If you had any important or pressing questions in those emails, please send them to me at this email address instead and I’ll do my best to respond as soon as possible.

I understand Ford has not released much information about the order process so here are the answers to some frequently asked questions:

Q: Can I modify my order?
A: Yes. For any major changes like changing your trim level or the door count, you will need to contact Ford’s support team at 1-800-732-1138. For smaller changes like wheel size or exterior color, we can make those changes here at the dealership. We will be able to make those changes once we convert your reservation into an actual order down the road. It will be part of our process to confirm your order specs with you again just prior to submitting to the factory.

Q: When will my order arrive?
A: I still don’t have exact answers for this. We will likely see the first Bronco Sports driving on the road in 2020 while the other models will follow sometime late Q1 2021 or early Q2. None of that is confirmed by Ford though so please don’t quote me!

Q: Will your dealership charge a mark-up on my order?
A: Big no on this one! I’ve heard from several of you that other dealerships are asking for more than the MSRP on certain models. We will not add a dealer markup above MSRP to your special order. This includes those with 1st Edition orders.

Q: Does your dealership accept X / Z / D / A Plan PINs?
A: Big yes on this one! You worked hard to get a Plan PIN, or are related to someone who did, so bring it on! I’m not sure what that pricing looks like yet though.

Q: Can my friend switch their order from another dealership to Kearny Mesa Ford?
A: Yup! Just have them call Ford’s hotline at 1-800-732-1138 J

As I receive more information from Ford I will be sure to pass it along to you. Thank you for your business and your patience during this process. Have a great weekend!

This is good info. I ordered from North County Ford in Vista. There online specialist contacted me directly after my reservation and has been very good about answering my questions.

And because Eric and Kearny Mesa was so upfront about costs, plan acceptance, and answering questions I have moved my reservation to them. Thanks for the help Eric!

I also chose Perry Ford National City since my interactions with them have been great so far with my Fiesta ST. I'll have to contact them and make sure I don't get a markup though. Kearny Mesa isn't that far!

I have mine reserved through Jim Burke Ford in Bakersfield. Haven’t heard a whole lot other than an automated email. Anyone else have a reservation with them? I have an xplan and this dealership is still showing up as unknown on the spreadsheet.

Hey Eric, good to see you here!

All, I was originally with Perry Ford but I wasn’t impressed with outreach. I also yelped and checked the forum. Kearny Mesa had the best yelp, and is the only San Diego dealer on the Forum list of no markup dealers.

I called and talked to Eric, good dude for sure. He’s genuinely stoked about the Bronco. I was one of his first dealer swap customers. It was a freakin nightmare but we worked through it. And learned the hard way what not to do! Lol! I’ve stopped by just to meet him, he took the time to talk and get to know me.

Eric has an email chain and a specific customer file for us. He’s good people. you all do what you gottado, but I’m good now with Kearny Mesa.

Now just give me the Online builder!!! ?

Everyone – I thought it would be easy to just start a thread, that I might tell others about my great experience in CHANGING DEALERS. After I put down my thoughts, I returned to bronco6g to find that there are numerous threads, regarding “looking for a good dealer” and several other related conversations. I’m hoping it doesn’t bore anyone, but I will paste this conversation into each of the similar threads.

Anyhow, I’m happy to have made my decision to move my reservation to Eric Bunch, at Kearney Mesa Ford! I’ve also gotta tell you that I don’t work for Ford and I’m not an employee at any level, at Kearney Mesa… I’m just feeling proud to have FINALLY found what I believe is a quality human, in this world of car sales. Eric comes across as extremely knowledgeable in the Bronco product line, honest, and not afraid to commit in writing to anything that he tells you.

I've called 8 Southern CA dealers, and the only one that would commit to no ADM's and that they will accept X Plan at their dealership, AND put it in writing before I made a change, was Eric (Kearney Mesa Ford). NO ONE ELSE WOULD PUT IT IN WRITING!!! You can get your service anywhere, so why not make a great choice to change your delivery dealer to the only one in our area that will give you the peace of mind to know that no one will "forget" their commitment to you...

I live in Southern California, and after a bunch of searching and calling, I changed my dealer to Kearney Mesa, (just north of San Diego). The Internet Director there, confirmed everything he would do to get my business, with me. He will charge NO ADM's, and he will accept X Plan on the new Bronco. In my case (Badlands 2 Door, that's about $1400 discount from the Badlands MSRP). And hey, you can get Ford service, nationwide, so don't just commit to the closest dealer to your home.

Don’t accept all the stupid shid that the other Inside Sales Agents and Internet Sales Agents are telling you… and I think I’ve heard it all: “were working to get MSRP for all of our loyal customers;” “my manager thinks the X Plan will be available;” “there is a strong possibility that Ford will include the ___ Plan, but they haven’t told us yet” (it’s actually up to the dealership, not Ford); and the always interesting “we haven’t decided yet, but my manager says that there’s a good possibility that…“ You gotta know that if you accept this kind of stuff, that: 1) your azz is hanging out, and you will be solely at their mercy after October 31 (the last date that you can change dealers). You need to get an agreement in writing from a Manager or Director at that dealership… or you’ve got NOTHING!

Even if you don’t qualify for Plan discounts, call this guy. Talk to this guy. Listen to his open and honest approach to selling you a Bronco. Ask for his commitment of anything that you agree on, in writing… and you will get it. I did, and many of my forum friends have also switched their dealer to Eric at Kearney Mesa Ford.

I strongly recommend talking to Eric, and I include his contact information (below). Tell him I sent you, and maybe I'll get a free key chain!!! ? CALL HIM ON MONDAY!!!

To change dealers:

Call Ford at 800-334-4375. Opt 1 English; Opt 3 Marketing. Tell them you want to change dealers on a Bronco reservation. Have your Reservation number ready. They will ask you to confirm the usual kinda stuff... your name, address, and email you used to reserve your Bronco. They will confirm where your current reservation is. They will confirm where you want to move your reservation to. When complete, you will get an email, from Ford, to also confirm the change you made to the dealer that will deliver your Bronco. The dealer you originally used will return your $100 to you, within 10-days. The new dealer doesn't request a deposit. You keep your original Reservation Number. ALL DONE! Took me less than 10-minutes.
