Soft top squeak

same here. squeaking and rattling. Started around 6K or so. mostly passenger side towards the rear. Worse when top is half back. Gone when its all the way back. Still bad when closed entirely.

Hi - I had the squeaking in position 1.
I found this post that suggested using
all purpose automotive grease.

This squeak and rattle started about two weeks ago after 3 months without any noise. The noise is coming from the back corner.

anyone else hearing a similar thing?

I had a squeak in mine that was coming from behind the drivers side rear door. I located mine at the hinge point of the top frame and used silicon spray now my noise is gone.

Anybody having luck with Ford dealers fixing this issue? I have an OBX with less than 2K miles and it's happening every time my roof is open in the first position. After 10 days at Grieco Delray Beach Ford they say it's not an issue, just a fun quirk of the vehicle per Ford.

I know this thread is almost old enough to vote - but I just now started having this issue.
Right at 6,000 miles and right as the weather warmed up here in Michigan.

For me its the front drivers side, horrible squeak that sounds a lot like two pieces of Styrofoam rubbing together. When I have the first section of the roof open/flipped back the sound goes away. I thoroughly investigated the squeak area and can't really figure out what's going on....

When the top is back in position #1? I had this last year and sprayed a bit of lubricant on a joint (can’t rember where) and it got rid of the squeak immediately. Started again this summer and have been meaning to spray it again, but haven’t gotten around to it yet.

Nope for me. Still soft top squeak and also my dash on the driver side squeaks at every bump. It's either the dash or the fuse door or something else....squeak squeak squeak.
Love my ride but it certainly is not quiet.

I’ve got this problem too, only it’s with the top fully closed. I’ve applied 3 tubes worth of krytox on every rubber seal, joint, and nook and cranny I can find and it still squeaks like a screaming mouse every bump I hit. Anyone have a dealer fix this for them?

I put grease on the hinge on passenger side B post. Where it folds. Lasted a few weeks. But is back.
