Software update next week??

This latest update was weird. I have a 2021 OBX w/auto updates set for early Sunday morning. However a couple of days ago my wife called me as an alert that when she started the Bronco the center screen remained dark for several minutes while driving then came back on with the update complete message. This has never occurred before with any previous update. The attached pic shows what was updated.

Perfectly normal. The auto-updates schedule only applies to updates that require the vehicle to be inhibited while it installs. 6.3.0 is an APIM update and that will install while the vehicle is on and/or running and explains why the center screen went black for a few minutes.

For what it is worth....My wife's Bronco was built on 7/27/24 and we took delivery today, 8/20/24. Sync software version 24093, revision 1214.

Couldn’t find another thread answering my question exactly. I went to Vegas off roadeo last weekend (a blast) and the guides alluded a couple of times to an update coming to all Broncos “in 11 days or so” that would give everyone a digital cluster similar to the raptor. I am obviously aware we all have the useless analog ones so it’s never gonna be the same as the raptor, but anyone know if this tidbit they said is accurate or if not what they were referring to?

Shane78, I was at the Nevada Off Rodeo with you. I also heard from the guides that the digital cluster would be updated soon, including replacing the bar tach with a dial. Still waiting to hear more on this...

I was beginning to wonder if I was going crazy and they said something else, but I’m holding out hope that we got inside info that’s coming in another update! Glad someone else from that weekend chimed in.

My 2022 shows Software Update 6.1.0 and is set for OTA updates. Last update was dated 8/7/2024. I sure hope they update us to a better tach.. but when might i expect this update, tach or not?

PLus, since that update, my location is showing Dearborn Michigan and I am in South Carolina????

There was a bug that was doing this for a lot of people about 6 months ago or so. Not sure if it was with 6.1.0 or something on the back end that didn't require a OTA update. I've had two or three telematics updates and a 6.3.0 update since I noticed it eventually cleared and fixed itself - but couldn't say what exactly fixed it.

I was beginning to wonder if I was going crazy and they said something else, but I’m holding out hope that we got inside info that’s coming in another update! Glad someone else from that weekend chimed in.

I think it’s more likely they are referring to what will be an updated 2025 all digital dash screen
