I started receiving updates from Ford on January 3rd. Since then my vehicle has been built and shipped and is now only 10 hours away from me by rail.

Not once, since the order was placed in Nov again, original May 2021, has the dealership contacting me, or updated me on the progress.

If I didn’t get communication from Ford , I would not have any information on the status of my vehicle. Is it possible that they’re trying to keep my vehicle? Possibly auctioning it off?

One of the employees bragged that they received a price at auction last yr. Should I just show up to claim it if I know it’s there?
Do they have any legal obligation to offer it to me? Maybe call and tell them I’ve been tracking the vehicle?

During the process I received all updates directly from Ford. I'd pop into the dealer every couple of months to see if he had any updates. After it was built the only correspondence I got directly from the dealer is the phone call they gave me the morning it showed up on the lot.

Here’s a crazy idea: call your dealership?

When mine was built, I would typically call the dealership to get a weekly update on it’s current location using VINView. I didn’t want to be “that guy”, but I figured a weekly call wasn’t too much to ask.

So call them up and ask them to use VINVIew to track your Bronco. And while you have their ear, ask what they think the ETA will be.

That should answer all your questions, no?

They won’t take my calls or email me back, so I stopped trying. I got Mike Levine involved after they added a ADM on my coworkers vehicle after they said they wouldn’t.

Wow ok, maybe I shouldn’t be nervous then. Thanks

The dealer has no "incentive" to track your car. They probably don't even know how to do it. I never got a thing from our dealer and really didn't expect to either.

They pretty much just show up on the carrier and the dealer will call you when it's on the lot. I tracked mine once it got to the local rail yard and figured out how to see what cars were loaded up on what days and headed to dealerships in my area. I called our sales lady when it was loaded up and she meet us at the dealer that night.

We actually tracked it all along the highway right into the parking lot, sales lady was amazed that we were able to do that.

Well there's the "rest of the story", yes, they may be trying to screw you. Unfortunately there's really nothing you can do until it shows up on the lot.

I knew more about the status of my bronco than my salesman did… even the day it showed up at dealer I called him up…. He assumed I was asking about an update and I told him no, it should be on your lot. I’d just call and see what’s up….

How do do that? The only thing I’ve been able to get is tracking updates by automated phone. It updates every two days.

This means it’s not there yet right?
Under which part is it tracked. This only tells me when it’s delivered.

I was even able to print the delivery receipt that the driver signed when it was delivered.

The dealer website will show either in-transit or on the lot (now that may be delayed a day or 2) but that's how I'd go about it - or quite honestly do a few drive bys and see if it's there. You have the VIN - check the sticker and you'll know for sure. Obviously I don't know how far you are from your dealer, but that's what I'd do.
