Stupid Plastic Screw Clip Alternatives?

There are much better plastic clips that are easy to remove. The Ford ones are poor design.

I just use the normal push in "tree". Depending on how often you need to remove them, they can be reused a couple times and they are cheap.

These clips can be used multiple times if removed and installed correctly. Unscrew the center, then remove the outer. Not much simpler than that. This same clip is used on many makes and models. It's not rocket science.

Yeah I have an extra grippy textured screwdriver I use on them so I can kind of pull while unscrewing them and I use a trim tool as well if needed, and I still mess them up. My buddy was helping me yesterday and I think he destroyed EVERY SINGLE ONE he touched.

It sure works well for me. A little tension from the tool and the screw unthreads and the clip pops out. It may not be what it was designed for, but it works really well.
