Sun Visor Hits Mirror

I know others have written about this but, lordy it's annoying. I've got a 2025 OB SAS. Every time I put my driver's-side visor down it knocks my rear view mirror out of position. Posting this because Ford has still not fixed for 2025. All it would take is removing a 1/2" or so from the visor, or relocating the mount, or something. On previous threads I've seen people say you just need to slide the visor over. Mine is at max and still does it. I'm 65, have driven many 100s of cars and never seen this. If anyone has a tip or hack I'm all ears. Thanks.

The mirror has two adjustment balls. The one by the glass is very stiff. They aren’t always adjusted well from the factory. If it helps, you can take the mirror off the windshield and adjust it before putting it back.

This - i didnt realize it until I saw it posted here a while ago too. That second articulation point helps a lot. Can twist it up over the camera hump and then still adjust and gets it up out of the way

You can shift the mirror to the right. I had the same problem until I figured this out

First thing I do in a new car. That windshield pivot is always set wrong, usually too low to where the mirror blocks the windshield at an intersection

I'm tall and with the steep windshield I hardly move the visor fully down. So, once every few months or so it happens and I think I'm going to adjust the mirror... never do. Then, I forget and the cycle repeats.

Speaking of sun visors, (hijack coming...) does anyone have a hack for the 6"-8" it doesn't cover on the 2DR side glass, when fully extended? It's annoying AF because this is ALWAYS where the sun ends up coming thru....

I use mine often and have never noticed this. Is everyone aware that the visors are telescopic and slide on the rod (so when you move the visor to block the side, you can slide it back to block the sun)? I am wondering if people are trying to close their visor while it is partially extended.

Yes, we are(at least I am) aware of this technological marvel.

This issue, though, occurs when the visor is flipped up, normal, and you just flip it down and it hits the mirror. The rod is as far in the visor pocket as it will go.

I'll have to check if that happens with mine. I don't recall it ever being an issue since it slides on the rod.

Feasible fix could be a flap that folds out or a visor sleeve that you can pull to increase coverage.

I don't think making a multi-section extensible rod(like a retractable antenna or compact umbrella) would be worth the squeeze.

I'm assuming all the sun visors are the same, 2DR & 4DR. The 2DR door is considerably longer than a 4DR door, so this may not be an issue (or, as much of an issue..) on the 4DR. But fully extended, it falls 6-8" short of the length of the glass. I remember, I think some model Honda years ago, that had a little pull out extension in the visor, that would pick up another 4-5" after the extension rod was max'd. Something like that would be sweet.

Reasonable comment but yes, of course. If my visor is locked in place against the top, slid all the way to the left on the shaft, it still hits and moves the mirror when I rotate it down to cover the windshield. When I have time this week, I will fool around with some of the suggestions above. And, fyi, mine is a 4-door. Thanks, everyone for weighing in!
