Sorry for jerking your chain, @NYCBD - looks like you've received some solid info here. Best of luck getting it straightened out.
Haha...No worries at all. Promise I’m not trying to get my dealer to un-cancel the orders now...

Thank you...I don’t post much but i think I’ve read almost every post on this site. Appreciate the help, and the confirmation that the dealer can in fact make this change. I do have dual tops on my ’22 so that may be the issue and will pass along to the dealer to see if that helps them make the change.

Do you also think it’s fine that once the earlier reservation/order is move from code 99 to 19 they can then change the model and options on it? Because my ‘21 and ‘22 orders are different and would need to be swapped also.
I bet the duo tops is exactly the problem. It’s no longer in the ordering system as an MY21 option, so it makes sense it spits an error when they try to code the order to be built in MY21.

They can modify and change each order to whatever extent you ask, and it doesn’t matter what priority the order is when they do it. Well, aside from the 99 will have to be changed before it can get a build priority... and the other won’t be able to have MY22 options added, even under 99, until MY22 ordering opens and those options are made available again in the system.

thanks...I tried calling Ford to confirm if that was correct and see if I could push it along somehow with no luck. I’ll check out your thread....thanks again.
If you request the dealer make changes be sure to get a copy of the change request so you have verification it was done and they aren’t just BS ing you , I thought my dealer made the original change request 2 weeks earlier for the april8 deadline, on the 7 Th I checked to verify and noticed he said he couldn’t gaurentee the change would process by the 8th, so it sounded fishy, I called corporate and they said he should have given me an invoice which he didn’t, so I text and ask him to email me a copy or did I need to come pick it up and of coarse he said I would have to come in and get it, I told him I’d be there in 15 mins, when I received the invoice the time stamp showed it was processed within that 15 mins, they just don’t want to do the work, I was changing the roof to be garenteed a 2021, and get the top incentives, because if some other option holds it up I can go back after May 1st and change everything back to the original l order for a 2022, too much work for the dealership, Lazy

Spoke to the dealer this morning. Orde swap went through and he sent me the DORA for my ‘21. I also got an email from Ford about my order being confirmed. However, dealer is saying he needs Ford to move the original order from code 19 to code 99 since it was already confirmed. Does that sound correct @ZackDanger?

I was told it takes about a week for it all to flow, so you should be good to go

Someone with experience inputting orders should chime in... but it seems like they should be able to code it 99 no problem on their end unless it was already scheduled (which I can’t imagine it was, otherwise you wouldn’t have needed to swap your reservations).

Just wanted to followup on this.

I was just reading the Ford FAQ from last month and noticed this bit:

Ford Bronco Swapping Orders B90CD01B-9A5E-4A0A-9121-888470EB5D32

This obviously lends credence your dealer saying they were unable to change the code back to 99... as this implies the regional teams need to do it.

Amazing bit of detective work! Thank you for your help on this one.
