2022 Badlands - The Swing Gate Ajar light comes on. If I push OK on the steering wheel it goes away. However, there is still a little red "Door Ajar" icon that is displayed on the dash and it won't go off. Suggestions on how to fix it. Or how to bypass or delete.

Pretentious Broncos ain’t they? Trying to tell us that our doors are jars, when they clearly are doors. I get in arguments with mine daily.

“Door ajar”

“No, it’s not a jar, it’s a damn door”

I’ll be here all week…actually I may need help

Just took delivery of mine…finally. I have the swing gate ajar icon. Was told by the dealer that cord is aware of the problem and will be treating it like a recall item eventually. Ugh.

I had the same on an Explorer driver door. The whole latch assembly had to be replaced, the sensor is internal. It was a B of a job, part cost $180. A year later Ford determined it was a faulty design and reimbursed me, $180 to me $450 to those that had the dealer fix.
