I'm about to pull the trigger on one and was wondering, what everyone thinks about them.

Brands, durability, functionality, noises....Pros/Cons, etc

The molle panel is actually the bottom part of the frame — the flat table top is an insert that press fits into the molle frame piece. It’s very sturdy and means the molle is more load bearing. Overall, I’m impressed with mine. Just triple check the hardware they send you and make sure you have all the bits and pieces before you start building it.

Yes. Installing the solid table top can be a little challenging, but watching the install videos really helps.

I don't know how this happened, but when the dealership I went to installed the tailgate table on the mannequin, they managed to go in too far with one of the screws. There is a noticeable bulge on the exterior from the screw going too deep or using the wrong screw.

Just a heads up for anyone installing tailgate attachments, check the screw lengths, and don't overtighten!

EDIT: It wasn't the screw, but the bit going too far. It appears Ford added a bit stop to prevent this from happening again.

I second the JCR option. It is a work of art. and, NO DRILLING, unlike the Ford offering. No rattles, solid, looks great, simple install, very well thought out.

I originally wanted the Goose Gear because it is cable free and has a slide out extension. However, I believe it requires drilling, so I’ll likely stick to the JCR version.

I bought the one through Ford with my reward points that I had sitting around. Install was easy, doesn’t rattle, holds my grill and little knickknacks and was basically free. I recommend.

I chose the one from Rock-Slide Engineering, after looking around at all the ones available at the time I liked its features best. I liked that it has the most table surface area, has an upper shelf, and doesn't use cables so it has the highest weight capacity. You can even place a Blackstone grill on it. I also liked how it didn't replace or cover the factory plastic interior vent cover. It mounts with self-tapping screws, which some see as a negative. But I've had 4X4's for years and have overcome my fear of drills LOL.

Installed JCR. Agree with all of the positive comments above. In addition, I was unable to install the table due to a fit problem. Had a new one in less than a week and that second one installed easily. Great customer service to rectify the issue.

Absolutely no rattling with mine.
