The FORD Bronco Off-Roadeo is a 10/10 as it was such an incredible experience. When we walked out another gentleman asked the 3 of us on a scale of 1-10 how would you rate the experience? My daughters blurted out 10 out of 10 and I said 50 out of 10. He smiled and laughed.
The first day started at 1PM and it was hot (wear a hat). There is a FORD Bronco store in the lodge and they sell lots of hats should you forget yours. Actually, they sell a ton of cool FORD Bronco items (cashless). The lodge also houses a map with pins from each attendeeās home State. There was a pin in each U.S. State and 5 foreign countries. Super amazing.
Once everyone checked in, we ventured out to the training locations. There is some shade, and water filled Yeti coolers; thus, plenty of fluids available at each station but it was warm and sunny. Fortunately, each family gets to select their preferred style of Bronco and my daughters picked a 4 door Area 51 Badlands for Fridayās activities.
Once done with the training and vehicle selection, we ventured out into the 360 acre ranch. Also, we were able to use the trail turn assist on Friday and Iāve never seen an off-road vehicle turn on a dime. Wow, so impressive. We started at 1PM and ate dinner around 5:30 or 6:00PM. We were back at the hotel by 7PM. We were exhausted by the end of the day.
The second day, Saturday, started at 7:30AM and this time they selected a 4 door Rapid Red Metallic First Edition. We had a 30 minute stop in the middle of the morning to discuss safety. The FORD TEAM did an excellent job covering the necessary material. They also told us that theyāll be offering specialized safety classes in the future. FORD recommended signing up for the email notifications. We were back at the lodge around 11:30, for lunch, and on the road back home by 12.
We have owned a previous FORD Bronco and multiple Jeepās. However, this stock FORD Bronco, is by far hands down the best of all of them and itās stock!!
I cannot express it enough - the 2021 FORD Bronco is absolutely amazing how well it performed on some pretty good hills and rocks. Then the 1.5 mile Texas Roadrunner course was shockingly comfortable at 25 mph on a bumpy dirt road. The most amazing part was taking the stock FORD Bronco on a Baja course. The 3 minute extreme ride on the Baja course, with the FORD professional drivers, was over the top and worth the entire price of admission.
Colors were clearly not what they look like online. For what itās worth, for the colors we saw in person this weekend, this is how we ranked them:
Cactus Gray
Oxford White
Antimatter Blue
Area 51
Shadow Black
Velocity Blue
Cyber Orange
Rapid Red Metallic
The soft top was easy to lift back and the MIC top was a piece of cake to remove and replace. Also, the SAS package is incredible. The B&O sound system on the FE was great and the Soundbar (doesnāt work with the B&O) is very cool. Itās reversible. The Console Vault is also well designed.
The 2.7 engine is amazing and far exceeded our expectations. Frankly, it seems to be more power than most will ever need. Itās performance on the Baja run left most of us speechless.
On the Badlands we had the 8ā display and on the FIrst Edition we had the 12ā display. They were night and day. The 12ā display is like having and iPad tucked into the dashboard.
On the Badlands we had a manual seat and on the First Edition we had the electric seats. Both seats were comfortable and once you got it positioned well, they felt the same.
The GOAT mode was very very cool. It easy to operate and all you do is rotate and the FORD Bronco does the rest. Each mode will automatically set everything you need. The named it the GOAT mode for a reason.
We had all the bells and whistles on both models, such as - the front and rear lockers, sway bar disconnects, and trail turn assist. Additionally, each of our units were equipped with a light bar and rigid lights as well. The lights, even in the middle of the day, worked well with the dust on the Texas Roadrunner track.
The enginnering on the 2021 FORD Bronco is simply incredible!!!! The most surprising item was that these are preproduction models. I canāt image how much better the real deal will be.
Ironically enough, there were 6 sets of dads and daughters. If these 2 tell their siblings Iāll be going back with them too
Josh, Corey, and Carlos were just amazing. The facility is very clean and the food was excellent. They are well trained, courteous, and very conscientious.
We highly recommend signing up.
FORD, you didnāt hit it out of the park, you hit it into the next county. Thanks for producing such an awesome machine.
Throw some questions out there and Iāll do my best to answer them.
