Moab Off Roadeo is awesome!

Totally worth it even if you just rent for a day. Sometimes Twisted Jeeps will let you pick up the rig at 5:30 PM the day before your rental so you get a first run in before your full-day rental.

The 4-door rigs they have would be perfect for your wife and kids to participate as well!

Man that looks fun. Might have to see if I can do that.

Looks like Moab CNY is the closest and they have a shuttle that takes 30 minutes to get to Moab.
Seems to be the win for me and then renting a vehicle would be fun after the rodeo.

Grand Junction is where I flew into. Nice drive out to Moab and rental cars exist at the Grand Junction airport unlike Canyonlands.

If you are on the fence about the Off Rodeo just do it. We spent yesterday running Dome Plateau trail (rated 4+) in Moab. It blew away my expectations. The trail guide made us put those broncos in positions that I would never do myself. The tech is awesome and the broncos performed flawlessly. Moab is the only location where the entire training is on a natural trail...no man-made obstacles. If you do go to Moab I would stay in town, not Red Cliffs Lodge.. it's a 25 minute drive but there is so much more to do in Moab. The lodge is pretty isolated.

Agreed! I had a blast as well! I stayed at the Red Cliffs Lodge but if I were to do it again, I would look for deals on hotels in Moab to save a little money (hopefully) and have some more options for dining and activities.

I don't think the dog is allowed but not 100% sure

Damn, she’ll be pissed about that!! I wish there was a number to call directly to reach that facility or personnel. when I made the reservation they could not answer that question- I’m pretty sure she was stunned that I asked if I could bring my dog!

Just did Moab on Labor Day and it was amazing. Small group, great company, awesome vehicle. Grand Junction is close airport, but Salt Lake City is about 4 hr drive, and has more flight options.

I’ve been thinking I’d prefer the Moab, even though Austin is a 3-hr drive. It’s a LONG drive, but I’d almost like to drive my Bronco one I get it, and take it on some local trails the next day

I just did mine on Wednesday, and there was a Dad/Daughter that brought their dog. I was a bit surprised and really expected the instructors to say something but they didn't.

Now they ended up being in the other group so I can't say how it all went (I never actually saw them get in the Bronco with their dog) but she was their through all the orientation so one can only assume.
