A multi billion $ company shown up by a lone wolf programmer, you may have a very bright future ahead of you.

Something tells me this isn't his first rodeo. I've worked with a lot of developers over the years and he seems to be very seasoned and good. Just a hunch of course.

You should apply to work on API development and security at Ford. ;-)
I was a frequent user for about 6 months. This is a big loss to the community.

I'm surprised (and also not surprised) the API was open to begin with. The APIs I'm responsible for require an API key and an OAuth token - and they aren't even exposed to the public Internet.

Ford may just be trying to control the narrative by limiting the flow of information. But they should be more concerned about information security. That raw data is too valuable to leave out in the open and it's not likely to come back in any freely accessible form. Too bad for us!

I appreciate all you've done for enthusiasts here and elsewhere. I was able to benefit from your altruistic enterprise, so thank you! My Bronco will be delivered shortly and I am grateful that you gave me a heads up on its status, sometimes days ahead of Ford itself!

I understand how you feel about enjoying this as a hobby. As a graphic designer, I also do things for the fun of it. In so doing, I keep my skills sharp and learn new ways to do things. Sometimes, others benefit from my tinkering in the process. I get it. It's a good feeling!

I forgot to add:

Over the last year, over 35k vehicles were searched on Ordertrack. Roughly 5,000 people would be active a day. It's such an insane number to me. I can't think of a project I've worked on that has reached so many people!

[EDIT]
Typo
Iā€™ll just say thank you.

You helped me to get my window sticker and modules (whatever they are), and these were happy moments in this long wait.

Although I still wait, I have much more info because of your efforts than I ever would have alone. Itā€™s people like you, who just want to help others that make humanity special. Yes, youā€™ve helped a lot of people and I know that all were appreciative.

Good to know youā€™re a member of our forum and Ford family.

Thank you for all you did. I am sorry that I didn't get a chance to use it. My order will have its first birthday next week with no VIN in sight.

When I was tracking my Bronco and finally got my VIN assigned, I frequently visited your site. Similar to now I frequently visit it in the garage, but your site seemed to connect me to my bronco. Quick story - one afternoon I was on your site checking the delivery status and it showed delivered that day. I called the dealer, and they said it hadn't arrived yet. I said can you check again, and a few minutes later they got back on the line and said, hey it's here! I was on my way down seconds later. Thank you for the technology and engineering that allowed for a fun way to keep an eye on things.

This is my build week and itā€™s KILLING ME that I canā€™t use this anymore. Thanks for putting this together. Itā€™s a real shame that it can no longer continue.
