So I'm looking to upgrade my wheels and tires and have been trying to find out which direction in tires is best now that the wheels are purchased. New to off road tire brands so not sure who or what to go with. Has anyone had both brands pros vs cons? Noise, durability, comfort?

Trialrecon on youtube just did a nice review of the KO2 compared to the Mud BFG. TrailBuiltOffroad on youtube has a wealth of information on both tires that should give you a good idea.

Its hard to beat a BFG, I have the km3s and am very happy. No more noise than the stock goodyears and smooth on the road. I mounted them myself and haven't had them balanced yet either. They are smooth, no vibration.

I love the KO2. Very smooth at all speed and more quieter with compliant ride compared to the Goodyears.

Depends on what you are doing. Climbing rocks, wading through mud, driving on loose gravel, need strong sidewalls?

Nitto trail grapplers
These or the Toyo Open County’s. I have the RT’s which are are an AT/MT hybrid. Not as noisy as a MT but more aggressive than an AT. And are load range C for the stock SAS size 315/75/17.

I’ve got a set of Recon Grapplers in order. I liked the look and they seem to have good reviews and were same price as KO2 at Discount Tire. 🤷🏼‍♂️

so I have Mickey Thompson legend exp, love that tire, I do mudding and have done some stuff at an off-road park and it is great. I also drive 60 miles a day for work and there isnt any noise from them. I do not have experience with the other tires mentioned but can personally vouch for these
