Third Brake Light Extender

Hello all. My Base Bronco is set to arrive in the next 3-5 days. Already have Wheels, tires, 2 in rough country lift in hand just itching to get on the car. Wondering if anyone who has already upgraded a non-SAS to a 35x12.50-R17 has noticed whether or not a third brake light extender is necessary, or does it clear the tire as is? Thanks for the help in advanced.

I put the same lift and tire size on my non-SAS Base and the 3rd brake light relocation is definitely needed unless you’re OK with it being almost completely obscured. I added the Rough Country one and it works great.

I have the same setup and it is definitely too short. I just used a piece of 1/8" aluminum 4 holes and a slight bend.

Best shots I currently have of my 35 x 11.5 spare on a 17x8.5 +35mm offset wheel.
The light is resting on the tire. I'd imagine it is blocking the view for the folks down low, up close, in cars.

Anybody with the brake light extender with a soft top?
I've heard that the top may rub on it, but not sure if that is just the extender or the relocation kit.

I installed the RC extender. The brake light post is now resting on the rear wiper. Does anyone have this problem? Or just ignoring since no one actually uses a rear wiper?

No, mine doesn’t contact the wiper.

Interesting. Could be that the entire spare tire carrier is adjustable and just needs to go down a hair. Including some photos for reference.

Not sure if there is any adjustment. Maybe loosen the screws and retighten pulling it out from the top?

Just added washers under the lower screws to push the top out. See daylight now! Should be OK.
