while working the Mountains2Metal booth at Overland Expo east this year, I got to meet the fine folks from @ASFIR 4x4 . They were stationed just a couple of booths away from us. I’ve run their products on all 4 of my Broncos and needless to say, I’m a fan. While others waited months for skid plates etc, my orders always showed up within a week , all the way from Israel. Funny enough, when I introduced myself, they new my name well. Guess that means I order too many Bronco parts or something. At some point they showed me a picture of their soon to be released (at the time) tie rod splints. Being the parts nerd I am I had to have a set, they just look so good.
I was fortunate to be given a set of these splints to try out. You can see from the pictures that they are similar to other offerings on the market. All aluminum, but bolt through and through. Install is a breeze since the bolts go in from the front, and I think they are gorgeous. Form follows function well. The red anodizing is the icing on the cake for me. Price wise, they are right in line with the main competitor that we all know, and whose products I really like as well.

Why?

At $400 you are nearly 1/3rd way to the HOSS 3.0 steering rack. Plus installing these will just make the rack the next failure point.

Nothing wrong with the braces, but the steering rack will die before the tie rods will after you brace them.

Of course you could get the BroncBuster bushing for another $349 and the billet housing for $1189.

I run the bushing and anticipate the housing at some point too

It's going to be just fine with all the BroncBuster mods. However, that's as spendy a solution as the HOSS 3.0 steering rack (which may not be as rugged - time will tell). I just programmed the new rack today... I know that for my purposes, I would not break either solution.

How much work was getting the Hoss 3.0 steering rack installed?

I'm running 37s with the JKS reinforcement kit on my Badlands. So far, so good. I'm pretty gentle off road though.

It's not particularly tough, but you do need access to FDRS (Ford's Diagnostic and Repair Software) and a J2534 adapter (which, if you are brave like me can be had for as little as $120 or the more popular/mainstream J2534 adapters are $500 to $1000+).

The labor to physically install the rack is about 2 hours (unless you have the RC hidden winch mount - add an hour for that), programming was under an hour.

I didn't physically swap out the racks today (it's not hard with the M190 axle, but it's more work swapping out the rack with the M210). I just ran out of time since I work tomorrow (and I also have to hit an alignment shop after the swap - surprise alignment shops aren't open on Thanksgiving).
